Entered restaurant and got service straight away but were the only 4 in!! to be fair it was only 17.30 hrs.The chap that served us was very helpful with our choices.Food that we had was very tasty and served on hot plates. Gave only 4 stars because male and female toilets could do with some tlc in respect of cleaning. Also couldn't work out how wheelchairs can get in as you enter by going up 5 or 7 concrete steps this also applies to buggies.I couldn't see a side entrance so this I find puzzeling. You can park opposite the restaurant in a pay and display car park and when we visited after 6pm it was free for the evening.Disabled blue badge holders still have to pay.Would go again as pleased with tonights performance.

Had supper with wife. I chose Dhansak curry which was full of flavour, with some wine to cool the palate down. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Complimentary aperitifs were a nice touch too

After reading the various reviews thought we'd give this place a try. We arrived with no booking and was told our table would be ready in 2-3 minutes, we were seated in that time. Ordered a starter and a drink that arrived straight away. Our order was taken within 15 minutes, upon finishing our starter our food arrived within 15 minutes and was absolutely gorgeous, I can honestly say its the best Indian I've had in a long time. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant clean. Would definitely recommend and go again.

We tried to order a takeaway here on a Saturday night and was told to wait outside for someone to take our order. Waited 20 minutes before another group came out and told us not to bother. They had waited an hour without someone even taking their drink order. There were many unhappy customers inside. It's a shame we didn't get to try the food, but the service seemed appalling so we headed home. Edit: We gave them a second chance on one of the following nights and ordered for collection as most places were closed. I'm so glad we did as the food was excellent! Better than anything we've had in Bradford. Rich, thick sauce with plenty of spice. You could tell the difference between a Vindaloo and a Pathia, not just in heat, but the flavour was right and they clearly know what they're doing. We loved it so much we ordered again the following night! I think the place is just missing a good manager to organise and communicate with customers when it is busy, but we absolutely cannot fault the food.

There's another Indian restaurant near the train station I usually go to, but I thought I'd try this one for a change. Truth time. The decor is dreadful. Absolute no effort whatsoever. Looks like the place doubles up for local council meetings. The other Whitby restaurant option beats it hands down for decor and atmosphere. But the food came and I got a nice surprise. It was excellent. Rich tasty sauces. Plenty meat or chicken content. Clean plates all round. Will go again, I'll just take my own mood lighting 😆

We expected good but this was better. Thursday nights is a caped price with no restrictions on the menu. Excellent idea. They include various types of fish on the menu which reflects their location, again an excellent idea as it's using locally sourced ingredients

Has soon as we walked in. Seen the head waiter. Bit of a attitude problem. No smile. Nothing. Got seated. Bottle of house wine. £16.95. Bit steep for cheap wine. George the young waiter was nice. Helpful. The only one who had a smile on his face. Poppadoms were ok. Prawn puri was nice. Are currys were very oily. Had to spoon loads of oil off the top. Other than that. Was tasty. Not sure if we would go back.

I had a couple of chicken Jalfrezi with mushroom rice from here last week and both were excellent. Lots of chicken with fresh chillies etc in a lovely sauce. The rice, chips and naan were also excellent. Great value. Friendly service from phoning the order to collection. I would come again if in the area.

I was worried reading some of the reviews, but we were very happy with the service and food. Friday evening, not too busy, popadums and Cobra served immediately, followed by our main course when we were ready. Chicken Tikka masala, aloo gob, mushroom bahjee, pilau rice and plain nan bread. All very good. Decor is OK, it is an old converted church so I guess it is always going to be a slightly strange combination.

Very good food and a brilliant greeting. Friendly guy who met us and showed us our table. Loved the curry. Perfect food. Only slight complaint was the wait. Not too excessive but probably longer than it should have been. Will definitely go back

We had a great takeaway meal from here. Really tasty food with generous portions. It was excellent value too and over a certain price was free delivery.

Lovely experience. The staff were very friendly. We ordered two vegetable currys, rice and cheese and garlic nan between both of us. There was plenty we couldn't eat it all. It felt such a shame as it was one of the best currys we've had. The drinks weren't expensive and they even gave us a free whisky and Bailey's tipple.
