This place is amazing, service was terrific and the food served quickly with very attentive staff. We had a takeaway as well earlier in the week and it was delivered 40 mins early, piping hot and portion sizes were large. Love this place. The Passage to India special is to die for.

We have been coming here fir 7 years now, we come here every August to celebrate a very happy marriage. 27 years this time.
Thus year has been the best you have made for us to eat. The paneer side dish should be a signature dish. Top class

A small but nice place close to the railway station. Nice staff and tasty food. I was happy that they were flexible in adapting the chicken Tikka Masala to panner. However, I have to say that the onion bargee's were very chewy, I suspect they had been made some while ago and re-heated.
Don't let some of the low reviews put you off visiting Passage to India Indian restaurant. They seem to be more on deliveries. The quality of food is very good. The curries are not oily like you get at some Indian restaurants. Had the mixed kebab starter and murgi masala curry with pilau rice and garlic and cheese naan. The curry was really nice and rice fluffy and light. Nice tasting Indian cuisine. Would definitely return again.
A great Indian restaurant in Whitby next to the train station. I've been here before covid hit, so it's nice to see it still going. Friendly staff, good service and good delicious. Portion sizes were a bit too large for me but was definitely very yummy food.

So glad we booked, as was very busy and popular, always a good sign. Excellent decision and we had a great meal. Both choices were from the specials menu and were delicious and flavoursome, tastes we hadn't experienced before and a very welcome change. Can highly recommend!

We have eaten here several times now. It is by far one of the best Indian restaurants in the north of England. We actively come from Hull to Whitby and look forward to eating here. The food is incredibly rich and flavoursome and we always leave with a doggy bag. Can't go wrong.
Felt very rushed, the food was ok but spraying strong smelling cleaning fluids in tables when trying to eat isn't nice
What a lovely place! Vegan friendly. 5/5 stars for the staff excellent customer service and friendliness. They were above and beyond to help with tables and serve the meals for the new customers. I was sitting in the waiting area charging my phone and asked a table for one. I had a tea while waiting and I loved it deeply seeing how friendly the staff are. I had mushroom rice, chips and Bhajies soup. Huge portion I had to ask to take away everything except the soup.
I noticed the restaurant is well known for travellers and locals and many taxi are waiting outside the doors. The restaurant is cash only.
Fantastic service and really great food all served in a nice atmosphere honestly cannot fault it we will definitely eat here again.
Lovely food - the Wednesday deal is superb. Not a local but I would definitely recommend. Definitely tasted like Indian food too.
