Royal Fisheries - Whitby - Photo album

Situated on Baxtergate this is one of the less attractive Fish n Chip shops in Whitby as it's not on the main drag where the Magpie cafe is situated. Do yourself a favour and pay this place a visit, the service is welcoming and excellent throughout, the Fish and Chips are great, I had the Cod and it
Excellent quality fish and chips! Service was great and we caught them at a quiet time which meant quick food. Good drinks selection which complements the notably high quality food. I highly recommend the grilled seabass, treat yourself and get chips with the salad you won't be disappointed!
We have a caravan in whitby so use the Take away often however with the rain this morning suddenly catching us out we decided to dine in , what a surprise great friendly staff and the food as normal superb. The inside may feel a bit dated but it’s spotless and the friendly staff were available to di
We were recommended this place by the bar staff in the nearby pub we were staying at. I had Haddock and Chips, which was excellent. The chips were just right, and the batter was some of the lightest, crispiest I have ever had. The fish was superbly fresh. My wife had sea bass and salad and she was
We stopped to grab a quick lunch whilst in Whitby and stumbled on the best fish & chips we’ve had. Delicious fish, chips & scampi, really friendly & helpful staff. The curry sauce was great too!
Royal Fisheries is the best chippy in Whitby (way better than the Magpie cafe 😉)!! Always have wonderful service and the food is fantastic. It's one thing I always look forward to when we come to Whitby.
Fantastic fish and chips, service was very good too, only issue was the gents was a tad on the whiffy side - needed a clean but will certainly come again. Great food.
My wife and I have been to The Royal on several occasions, and we've always enjoyed it. Our most recent visit wasn't planned, but I'm certainly pleased we wandered up Baxtergate on 10th April. The issue for The Royal is its location. Being tucked away up a side street that probably only locals use m
Always loved this chippy since I was a young child. The only place that uses crinkle cut chips. Brilliant fish, cooked perfectly and the service is always second to none.
We needed fish and chips by the sea. We ordered two haddock and chips and when the portions came I was amazed. The fish was so sweet and the chips were very tasty. We weren't kept very long and off we went and we enjoyed them very much.
Well we were looking for brilliant Yorkshire Fish and Chips and boy did we find them! Crisp, light batter, freshest fish, perfect chips and lovely mushy peas, Yum😋 We ate in, very friendly staff and clean. Recommended ✅
Really tasty cod and chips, and a good size for a 'small'. We also liked how you can add your own salt and vinegar to taste and that they use bio-degradable packaging. Would definitely go here again if we're in the area!
We used their app to order, so easy to use you get given a time spot , pick up easy, staff there to help with advice on process...food excellent, reasonabley price, definitely the best fish and chips in Whitby. Highly recommend.💜✨
I had the small cod, chips, mushy peas, bread and tea, it was perfect, just what you’d hope to get, lovely white flakey fish in golden batter and crinkle chips cooked to perfection, needless to say, very highly recommend 👍👍👍
Best fish and chips in Whitby! I had the cod and my husband had the haddock and both absolutely delicious, great crispy batter and white flaky fish and not greasy at all, mushy peas an added bonus as was the bread and butter We were also able to have a bottle of wine with our meal at a very reasonab
You won’t get fresher or tastier fish & chips in Whitby & I’ve been coming here for years- it’s always consistent. These people go to great lengths to get the freshest fish available, which isn’t easy nowadays.
Visited on Saturday 18th July and were really happy with everything. I looked on Google Maps for good fish and chips in Whitby and found this place - we had to wait maybe 1 minute to be seated and staff followed COVID-19 protocols closely, customers well spaced out. My partner and I both had the lar
What a great place! The best fish and chips we've had in years. Friendly team serving, great service and even wheelchair friendly. And about 1 minutes away from the train station:-)
One of the best fisheries in Whitby! Literally a hidden gem. As seen is a delicacy you have to try! The battered pineapple (fritter) with sweet chilli sauce. Also seen is a small and regular fish & chips.
