Absolutely beautiful hidden gem! Couldn't believe this has been on our doorstop and we never knew! Garden is so well looked after and really is a lovely place to have a wander. It's so peaceful. Also had lunch in the cafe which was lovely & very reasonable - picked up a jigsaw from their bric-a-brac selection too. Honestly would recommend people to go along and support this local gem. Gardener was so nice to talk to, very informative about the plants and garden advice. Explained they are always looking for volunteers to help out so I would encourage anyone with some spare hours to go help them out!!

Have been meaning to check this place out for ages as I remember it when I worked with learning disabled adults who lived at the Hermitage. What a gem - a haven of peace, and so much work has gone into it. Very freindly people too. Keep up the good work. x

The Orangery is in the local village where I live. The place itself is lovely and every time Iā€™ve been the service and food has been amazing. For my wedding in Aug 2023 I had the Orangery make my cake. I provided a photo of what I was after (3 tier semi naked cake) and was responded to promptly with a price which was very competitive. On my wedding day, when I saw the cake I was taken back with how big it was, it was a real statement piece. The flavours were also fabulous (vanilla, chocolate, lemon and poppyseed). I would without hesitation recommend The Oranery for any celebration cakes. They will be my ā€˜go toā€™ from now on 10/10

Only popped in for a coffee to take away. Was rather busy for a Saturday. Really cosy and friendly atmosphere with lots of Halloween themed decorations for the kids. Will be going back when we have time for some food. Worth a visit if you are in the area

We all had a cooked breakfast (2 full English & 1 veggie), they were freshly cooked, but didn't take long at all & they were delicious. We sat & drank our tea while we waited & asked for a pot of hot water, nothing was a bother. The menu has a good variety & the cakes looked glorious- I took home a raspberry blondie & shared it with a cuppa, later that day it was yummy

I was meeting up with a friend, and she recommended The Orangery Cafe. I had not been before, so we meet for morning coffee and scones. We had the cheese scone warmed up, and it was very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The cafe is very clean and the choice of food is excellent. I look forward to the next time because we can try lunch. Thank you.

I collected a giant cookie in time for the naughty elves arriving back at my grandchildren home. I think they may have redeemed themselves by bring the cookie with them. As usual the Orangery staff have excelled themselves.

A friendly welcome. Lots of varied menu options including vegetarian and vegan. A pleasant and well set out room with a view to the lovely garden. Prompt service. Generous portions with extras that some cafes donā€™t provide. Great value for money. Loyalty scheme.

Surprise breakfast meal with one of my friends. Lovely gardens, woodland walk, plants to purchase and lovely food. We had a grilled veg and cheese paninis each, she had a slice of fruits of the forest cake with 2. teas. Reasonably priced, a lovely orangery to sit in although there were other areas to eat in. Very pleasant staff. Enjoyed my surprise! Well worth a visit.

We came here on a Saturday morning and they had the best sausage and bacon roll this side of the river. Very nice staff and good coffee too. The location is inside a community garden so it is a little tucked away, which gives it a quiet and relaxing feel.

Had a great cup of coffee there and liked the look of the cakes etc. We asked if they would do us an afternoon tea for my wife's birthday the following week. They rang us back next day to say they would. The afternoon tea was very good and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful as a result we will be going back

Such a lovely hidden gem, the cafe is set in the heart of a small, beautiful, tranquil garden, a perfect spot to stop and meditate and ground yourself. I met my business partner here and had a coffee and sausage and bacon bun. Everything was most delightful and will be returning again.

Excellent food, coffee and staff. However do not drive up to the garden as there is no parking. Park behind the shops on the North side of the main road.
