We had a lovely meal here on Friday night. Food was very nice and fantastic friendly service. Will definitely be back!
Chutney's food is fantastic. If you want a take away experience that rivals eat in food, this is the place. A great menu with lots to choose from and the food is ready when promised. Eating in is also great with friendly staff and a reasonably nice decor. A 5* Hygiene rating is a great sign and I would definitely recommend Chutneys in the Whickham area.
Easily the best Indian restaurant there is. Their food is amazing. If you love curry, then don’t even think about it, just go!

Lovely meal when lv been there couldent fault anything, wish they had a better entrance as them steps are horrible when wet and full of leaves, but worth it as the meal and service make up for them x
As I don't live in the area, I haven't been in quite a while. But the food is still excellent. Perfect balance of flavours and spices. Staff are as friendly as ever. Highly recommend a try. Still my favourite restaurant.
We had a wonderful meal! Complements to the chef! There was six of us and we all enjoyed the food! One of us had a salmon steak with vegetable,s as she doesn't eat Indian food! She said it was delicious 😋
Very grease normal 5 starts but not this time
No word of a lie, one of the finest meals I've ever eaten!! There was four of us who each had something different, both meat and vegetarian options. An extra complimentary meal was brought out as well. Felt covid secure. Staff have been there for years which is a very good sign.
Always a great meal out. Never had a bad dish, service is rapid and always get a nice complimentary dish on the house.

Visited Chutneys for a meal with friends, although we hadn't booked and they were full they did find us a table in a few minutes.
have to say it was one of the best Indian meals we have had in a long while.
loads of chicken in the dishes and very flavoursome.
The only downside was that the waiter seemed to be hovering around us and No sooner than we had cleaned our plates and put our cutlery down the plates where whipped away without even asking which we thought was fairly rude.
We would certainly visit again in the not to distant future and would certainly recommend Chutneys.

I ate here the night before I was married, as I sat like "billy no mates" I was made very welcome. The food was lovely and the portions were generous. I look forward to spending an evening here with my new wife.
