Took my daughters along today for an afternoon tea. It was delicious! Everything freshly made and a great selection of sandwiches, cakes and a very yummy scone! My youngest (16 Months) had a little platter which also had a great selection for her. They both thoroughly enjoyed it as did I and my Mam. Highly recommend a visit, we will definitely be back �
Just had our 1st official sample of lunch The Yellow Teapot.. loved it!!!
We were greeted by the lovely owner Leanne, her husband Mal and son Nat, a proper family run business where we were treated just like old friends!!
We had the days special of steaming hot leek & potato soup and a scrummy tuna melt with jalapeños both were very tasty And served with a pot of tea in a little yellow teapot! So cute! ..
We also managed to squeeze in a huge slice of delicious carrot cake although we were absolutely stuffed!
Will definitely be back with the girls to sample the homemade fruit scones from the afternoon tea selection with bring your own bottle of prosseco!! Can't wait!!
We had a baby shower at the Yellow Teapot on Saturday and I can't recommend this lovely tea room enough. It was fabulous, staff brilliant, so helpful and friendly and the afternoon tea was delicious. Thank you very much for a lovely afternoon had by all �
Had a lovely afternoon tea today, it was amazing, the sandwiches and cakes were delicious, especially the blueberry scones and meringues. will definitely return and would definitely recommend.
Just been for Fathers Day afternoon tea and we were thoroughly impressed! The food was delicious and the presentation was impressive and the staff were absolutely lovely. We were made to feel so welcome and were properly looked after. It’s the first time we’ve been since it changed hands and we can safely say we will definitely be back!

Would highly recommend the Yellow Teapot for both popping in for lunch and for private functions.
Just had my daughter's 9th Birthday party there where they had afternoon tea. The service and food was amazing, the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
My daughter had selected a unicorn themed party and the attention to detail the Yellow Teapot put in to meet this theme was great.

Fab friendly little traditional tea room. Often pop in for work lunches both eat in & take out.
This week we called upon the Yellow tea pot to help us cater for a mini in office baby shower. Great selection of savoury & sweet delights at a very reasonable price.
Fab tea room ran by lovely staff with a fantastic friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back Gorgeous cheese scones & my boys approve of the chocolate brownies, in their words “Mam they are amazing!!!”

I went yesterday with my mam. She loved her large coffee and scone with jam and cream. Lovely place to go and everyone is so welcoming and friendly.

Visited for the first time and had a lovely time. Very friendly owners with a nice choice of food and drink. We had the freshly made scones which were delicious.

Came across this lovely cafe today. Wow what a great little place. The food was fresh , tasty and a great portion. We had the broth and cheese sandwich , think this is honestly the best soup and sandwich I’ve had for a long time. Well worth the visits and I got to meet little Olly the pet puppy. Thanks xx
We popped in today for our first visit and it won’t be our last …. The only thing I’m not happy about is the fact that the lady makes better lentil soup than me !!! We will be back
Ordered breakfast via Gateshead Eats for delivery when my partner and I were ill in bed and wow ! Beautiful vegetarian breakfasts and pancakes, and our instructions sent with the order were followed which is much appreciated. The food was delivered carefully by a friendly driver. What impressed me the most was the price when the food is such quality. It’s hard to come by food deliveries that don’t cost a bomb right now. Thank you !!
Due to my father being in a car home it is just myself and my mother this year so she ordered two Christmas dinners from the yellow teapot and I have to say they were delicious 😋 you name it it was there , roast potatoes, mash,carrots,sprouts, turnip, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding ,pigs in blankets,turkey ,stuffing and lovely gravy, absolutely lovely and well worth the money. Thank you 😊

The Yellow Teapot were able to provide afternoon tea for 8 with a weeks notice as it was for a gathering after a funeral. They were so helpful and it was all arranged within the space of a few hours. So easy to pay over the phone as well and they even delivered it on the day. Excellent service and the food was amazing. Best afternoon tea I have ever had and we will be back in the future for other family events!! I didn't take any photos because of the nature of the occasion but the food came in trays and it was just so well laid out.
My partner and I have just had 2 x roast dinners (1 chicken, one beef), as a takeout. It was absolutely delicious; generous portions, a good range of veg and really tasty gravy served in a separate container. I'd thoroughly recommend and we'll definitely be ordering from there again. Thank you!
We collected 4 takeaway afternoon teas today. Made our way up to Hexham by the river, set the table. When we opened the containers we were absolutely amazed at the beautiful food laid out in front of us. Each serving had four sandwiches, four different fillings, a cheese scone, with butter, a blueberry scone with butter, clotted cream & jam, a slice of cake and a slice of cheesecake. The quality of all the food was truly outstanding. I cannot recommend The Yellow Teapot highly enough.

Great little tearoom serving a nice selection of hot and cold food and drinks, a gorgeous afternoon tea and Sunday Lunch on Sundays. Staff incredibly friendly, and the place has a great feel to it. You can also bring your dog here and they're sure to receive a warm welcome.
My daughter and I ate Sunday lunch at The Yellow Teapot today and it was cooked and presented perfectly. The decor is so fresh and relaxing and Lynn and the lady cook very inviting and friendly. Already planning my next visit as it got a double thums up from my 8 year old. Cannot recommend enough.
