Friendly welcome, pleasant beer garden, at last we saw some sun and a decent pint of Doom Bar
Always a couple of cask ales on, one usually Timothy Taylor's.
Personaly i didn't like,I felt it as bare.. I was told that they make them a lot of live music, when I was there there was no group maybe this is where my heartfelt described above comes from..
New management since April.2019. Now a great pub with genuine people and friendly staff. LIVE MUSIC (BANDS) most SATURDAYS from about 9PM .. usually good stuff. Sometimes free pool/billiard on Sunday afternoons.
A friendly bar with friendly locals. There's live music most weekends and is a lot of fun. It isn't a quiet pub, of which Whaley Bridge has plenty, but it is ideal if you fancy sinking one too many and singing along to the music.
Visited the High Peak recently on a walking weekend with a group of 4 other walkers, and were wandering decided to bob into the Railways, after eating out locally on a friday night, and as they say the rest is history.
There was a lovely atmosphere in the place, and a Disco was in full flow. Not ja
Good atmosphere late on a Friday night. Beer gave me a headache the next day so only 4 stars :)
Gorgeous pie and friendly staff
Good atmosphere, plenty of separate area to choose from, nice little smoking area out back
Great monthly (last Sunday of the month) music jam sing-a-long, great atmosphere, lovely people and hosts. Lots of singing and smiling.
