Small cafe attached to water garden. You don't need to pay for a garden ticket to use the cafe. The staff were friendly and the cafe very clean. Some interesting local artwork on the walls. A very nice lunchtime menu. I had a prawn sandwich that was served with a side salad and crisps. The cheese platter looked fabulous, served to the table next to us.
Popped in for lunch before heading into the water gardens and so glad we did. We had jacket potatoes with cheese and chutney, with a side of coleslaw and salad, and a coffee and walnut cake too.
The food was delicious and perfect for a light lunch to keep us going until dinnertime.
Service was quick and the lady serving was lovely although due to an unavoidable incident one the other staff members had to rush off for an emergency meaning she was overworked.
My partner being kind helped clear just a few of the tables and this lovely lady rewarded us with cream tea. Couldn't praise her highly enough as she made our day.
It was a little bit expensive for what you got and the Dorset apple cake was a little dry, luckily we had it warmed up plus the cream on the side helped.
The place was tidy and the service was pleasant, of the weather is fine you can sit outside and take in the view of not there's plenty of seating inside.
