Has become our go to place for fish & chips, the food is reasonably priced and quality is good as well.
The only caveats are that the shop is cash only. (there is a cash machine in the shop next door but still a minor faff) and the times we have ordered online for delivery it has taken well over the estimated time and more often than not we have had to ring the place to check they haven't lost our order. Normally the reasons given for the delay are pretty weak but I have to say this is the only downside of the place. Service in the store itself is good and wait times aren't too bad.
The take-away for this review is you'll be better off going to get your food, just make sure you have cash or get it out on the way!
I pre ordered my fish n chips as I know they cook fresh. Young person on the phone was polite but didn't get my name. Went to collect young person wasn't rude but not overly friendly and no smile. Fish was amazing as usual 😋 but chips weren't upto usual standard. Maybe the potatoes aren't great at the moment?
Friendly staff. Freshly cooked cod and chips. Good portion size. Really tasty! Best fish & chips I’ve have for a while (and I have it most weekends regardless where I am - currently visiting the area from London).

Excellent fish and chips at a good price. Not greasy, great chips and lovely fresh fish in a light crisp batter. Great friendly staff too. A bonus is the ample easy, free parking.

Best fish n chips in my life delivered last night. It was as though the fish had just leapt out of the fryer. Batter so light & chips chunky & not greasey. Magnificent
Always get fish n chips from here when I visit my nan. We have the lunchtime special and even though it's s smaller portion it's more than enough for us. The food is great and it's cooked fresh when you order so there's a bit of a wait but well worth it.
I haven't visited Southill for a while. First impressions count. The retail centre was very clean and tidy. As were the shops that I visited. This Fish and Chip shop must now rank as the best in Weymouth. Great prices and quality food. The large cod that I wanted was cooked to order. The staff were very smart and helpful. Time of visit was 17.10hrs Sunday 9th July 2017. The shop has a 5star Hygiene rating. Well done.

Took our cubs to this shop for sausage and chip supper after a night walk and before a sleepover. The staff coped well with the volume of our order and the food was delicious. Will definitely use again.
