My sister and I visited today for the first time. There is a great food choice, something for everyone. The service is fabulous and the presentation of the food was really impressive as well as delicious. Would thoroughly recommend The Hive Cafe and will most definately be returning.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch here today. Homemade falafels, hummus, coleslaw, olives and flatbread, plus a rustic cheese and onion toasted sandwich with onion relish and coleslaw. We also had a vegan chocolate orange brownie and some great coffee and herbal tea. The food is all freshly made, veggie or vegan, with gluten and dairy free options, and reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next visit already! And if you want some local honey, you can that here too - it's delicious! The owners are lovely and the cafe is a little haven of calm on 2 levels of a tastefully renovated house on Park Street. There's a nice garden terrace out the back for sunny days and a comfy seating area with original fireplace upstairs. Well worth a visit!

Fantastic little gem of a place with so much choice for vegans and all very clearly marked on the menu boards- some fantastic choices of food, all freshly prepared. Lovely friendly people. Will hope to become a regular visitor. Dogs welcome too. Came out with some takeaway goodies as so much to choose from

My daughter, a friend and my two ( well behaved ) Lurcher's, were made so very welcome by the owners here a few weeks ago. As a gluten free vegetarian, this little cafe catered for all my needs. We all ordered something different, everything was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. And the pistachio and rose brownie was just out of this world. I visit my daughter who lives on Portland, every 3-4 weeks, and this will be our regular place to lunch now.

Great food and service! Had a lovely lunch with my family (dog welcomed too). The cake looked amazing so had to take some away to try! They were amazing! My favorite was the chocolate and hazelnut brownie lots of choice for vegans. Will return when in the area again.

Had lovely visit here today with my veggie mum and step dad. They were suitably impressed with the menu and their dishes. And have vowed to return on their next visit to Weymouth and sample some of the cakes and cheesecake we spied in the chilled cabinet. Only thing that would improve it is accepting card payments (as this and my previous visit both times only had cash option for payment - I often don't carry more than loose change in my purse)

Whenever we call in to say hi, have a drink or munch on the best veggie burgers ever. We are always welcomed with love and a smile. Rachel and Simon are never too busy to notice you and say hello. A great place to meet and eat. You will not be disappointed. Always new vegan and veggie options as well as gf and speciality diet needs.

It's our first holiday since transitioning to vegan at the start of the year and we were so excited to find this little gem. The food is incredible. We have made this a regular afternoon tea break as the cakes are out of this world and have popped in for lunch; again we were far from disappointed (Oh and the homemade vegan mayo is on another level)! The couple that run it are brilliant; very friendly, accommodating and great with our kids. We will definitely miss popping in when we have to go home but will look forward to returning :)

It was lovely to find a place to eat in Weymouth that didn't involve batter, burgers or a deep fat fryer. We had the falafel platter and foragers lunch - delicious! We even made space for a slice of pistachio and rose cake, well worth it! The service is relaxed and friendly. I think the prices are exactly right, great ingredients and clearly made in house. Definitely worth a visit if good food and quirky vibes is your thing.

Lovely quirky little cafe with a hidden garden to the rear, slightly off the main strip. Great gluten-free options and fabulous service. A little expensive but not eyewatering! We also had gluten free cheesecake but forgot to take a pic 😂🤣

This is our new "favourite" place to eat in Weymouth. We sat in the beautiful courtyard garden and enjoyed our Falafel platter, Hummus platter and quiche and salads. All were beautifully presented and delicious. The homemade Dorset Apple cake was the best I have had!! Would definitely recommend (even if you are not Vegetarian/vegan!). Thank you x

Walked 8 miles along the South West Coastal Path looking forward to a breakfast here and the place did not disappoint. Lovely location, with a very relaxing atmosphere in the garden. Very friendly staff and great vegan options on the menu. The tofu scrambled egg was lovely. Would visit again next time I visit Weymouth.

Lovely veg cafe. We stopped in for a slightly late lunch, not realising how small it was had we come earlier we wouldn't have got a seat indoors but on dry days there is a small courtyard with tables. We managed to miss the specials board but the humous platter and baked potato we both had were tasty. The vegan strawberry cheesecake was also really really good! Lovely staff (who I presume are the owners) and sell their own happy bee honey which I bought a jar of (I only buy honey occasionally when I know what the bee care is like as sadly some bee farmers/big companies are very abusive) and you can read about the bees on one of their boards.

Had a fabulous cream tea takeaway from here on Friday, and was blown away by the quality of the food. Two enormous scones with plenty of cream, butter and jam. It filled our bellies nicely for a long drive home. Next time, we'd love to sit in and sample the rest of the menu. Thank you.

After reading the review, decided to go to the Hive Cafe during our short stay in Dorset. We throughly enjoyed our lunch. We ordered different dishes and cakes. The food was so tasty and fresh. Really nice independent cafe with a peaceful vibe about it. We will be visiting again on our next trip for sure.

I had a lovely takeaway today- a really nice asparagus and pepper quiche & side salads. Everything was fresh and flavourful. The puddings / baked goods looked really nice as well. Very friendly and efficient service to top it all off!

We visited the Hive as it served well complemented vegan and vegetarian food. We were definitely not disappointed!! The place is cute, pretty, easy to find and warm and cosy. The staff was super efficient, extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. The food was fabulous. It looked fantastic and tasted great. Fresh, local produce prepared and served in a beautifully artistic stylish way, giving gourmet meal to the eyes before it even made it to our mouths. I couldn't resist a slice of the delicious looking cheesecake on display and my mother in law was excited to try the Dorset apple cake. Again, we weren't disappointed!! Absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely be coming in again for food on future trips to Weymouth.
