Watched the rugby here yesterday whilst having a delicious Sunday roast. Lovely country pub with great service and tasty food. We were given a table with a perfect view of the TV to watch the game. Happy customers!

We came here to watch the rugby on Saturday to see the Ireland Vs New Zealand game. The outside TV's weren't working, which meant a lot of people came inside to watch it. Fortunately we had booked seating so had a good view, but we did have to share the space we had booked to allow other fans to watch. There was an event in the back room which meant music was playing, which made it a little harder to hear the commentary. The beer is good, I can't comment about the food though. Will certainly come again as it's right next to the station which helps.

Following our civil partnership at Weybridge Register Office, we had a very relaxed and enjoyable early evening reception at the Hand and Spear. Buffet food and desserts were good, comprehensive wine list and selection of real ales and modern hoppy brews at the bar. Dance floor and speaker provided for evening entertainment. 75 people well accommodated in the dining and conservatory areas for a private party. Personal service from Emily in the lead up to the event, making us feel at ease throughout. Although another wedding was booked earlier in the afternoon, this didn’t impact on our party. Good value and a convivial ambiance - just what we were looking for. Thank you to all staff on the day. We stayed in the bedroom in the tower and family also stayed in the hotel, good reports regarding the rooms and breakfast was tasty

Just moved into the area, been on the hunt for a ‘local’ and hit the jackpot with The Hand and Spear. Good quality is world class and so many options for seating to suite every mood. Now for their Sunday Roast!

Beautiful venue and excellent food! The menu is extensive and the quality of the food is fantastic. I had the scallops, the chicken escalope and the lemon tart (pig!) that were really good. We were a party of 10 and everyone's dishes looked and tasted amazing. Emily was our hostess and she did a fab job of taking care of us. We will certainly be returning 😊

Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel. I believe they said there are only 11 rooms. Spacious and bright, 2 min walk from train station in a forest like cul-de-sac. Clean and quiet + very comfortable bed. The pub closes at 10 or 11 then everything becomes quiet. Bathroom was spacious, good water pressure and shower products. Could hear people in the hallway, but this wasn’t an issue. Friendly staff. The premises looks much better than pictures can capture.

Really lovely food and service. Great selection of gins, tasty Sunday roast and nice puddings (no picture of roast as was too busy eating it!) Recommend booking in advance as it's obviously popular for Sunday lunch.

Stayed for 2 nights. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean (shower was amazing). Food was great. Selection of beverages went above and beyond. We stayed as it was close to the Brooklands Museum. 15 min walk. Would highly recommend for food, drink and accomodation.

We stayed (Feb 23) here to be close for a family birthday party nearby. We had Room 2 - a feature double, and took advantage of a Winter Retreat special deal: B&B for 2 nights, plus welcome drinks and one evening meal. It was fabulous! Exceeded our expectations, the room was fab, the food excellent and the staff really lovely. Special shout out to Sotty, who helped us work out how to operate the TV remote! (Hint: the sky receiver is hidden in the fridge cupboard!) We will return again! Thank you for a super break.

The service from the staff was excellent and the food was good, hot and quality, particularly my burger. However the detracting point was the loudness of the music in the bar area. The playlist was epic and was a list of bands I’ve seen over the years but as much as I’ve seen them 8 times I don’t really need to hear Munich by the Editors so loudly whilst I’m trying to have dinner! We asked on a number of occasions for it to be to turned down which it was but then bar staff kept turning it back up.

Amazing location! The staff were all so welcoming to us. Karen I’m particular was so attentive and helpful! The menu and the variety of choices available is fantastic, delicious and presented well. Sotty was extremely helpful also, helping us with our luggage to our room on the top floor. Wonderful stay, I will be back and would definitely recommend.

Really nice pub. Lots of space and tables to choose from. The drinks are good, but the bar staff is a bit of a lottery. Some friendly, some very much not! Food is nice. Average to expensively priced but I enjoyed it. Access is easy, no stairs etc and there is a wider entrance to the side which would be suitable for wheelchair users. There is a car park really close - remember to buy a ticket as every time I've walked by, many cars have parking fines. Conveniently very close to weybridge station too.

So spacious, plenty of seating, played the rugby and a good vibe! Didn't realise this was here, so fab! Was a slightly problem with the sound on the TV at first but they soon sorted it.

We booked a private space for a post-work event, and it was very nicely set out for our group. The food we ordered was nice the staff set it up on a separate little table. And over the course of the evening, they continued to check in and clear up. Only one comment, which is that we weren't able to open up a tab on the day, they required a pre-authorisation, which I didn't do because of uncertainty on numbers. We managed with multiple trips to the bar but in future I would put in a pre-order.

A really well presented pub/restaurant with plenty of different beers available. Lots of seating (most I’ve ever seen in a pub ever!) service was great from all there and would definitely go back for another visit.
