Great food with distinctive flavours, fresh ingredients (spinach is great) and little oil. Also good take away service. Regular favorite.

This is the second Nepalese restaurant I have visited and I was very pleased that I did. The food was excellent, all very fresh and not oily at all. The service was prompt and well mannered, I would certainly recommend the food!

Had a takeaway. Free delivery for orders over £25. Food generally had good flavours, although the stir-fry veggies was a bit disappointing. The others dishes in the pic were good though (aloo kauli, Gurkha chicken, mushroom rice and the onion phokara). Would happily try more dishes from the place. All in, for 5 dishes for 2 people, it cost £29.

It was an absolutely wonderful evening. Found previous reviews and decided to try the restaurant. Food was superb, Gurkha Chicken, Lamb Kebab, and the pick of the menu, Lamb Shank. Staff are engaging. If you are in Weybridge and looking for somewhere to eat, you can't go wrong at The Great Gurkhas!

Absolutely fantastic. The food is great, really nice selection of traditional Nepalese dishes. The Gurkha lager was very smooth and the waiter gave us a glass to take away as souvenir. Would highly recommend and definitely will return.

Excellent traditional type dishes - very tasty. Friendly staff, busy small place so recommend to book ahead of time. Different to your usual Indian but also have the traditional Indian dishes too.

A real gem of Weybridge. The Nepalese food here is excellent, I'd recommend the lamb shank, it's delicious and the portion was very generous. The staff were attentive and friendly too.

Great Authentic Nepalese Food: Often one sees a restaurant claiming to be Indian when in reality either the owners or the cuisine does not deliver expectations. The Great Gurkhas is genuine family run place in quaint Weybridge and we selected on the basis of other choices available. Mr Guru who had served in Brunei welcomed us in classic Nepalese style and joined us later in conversation taking due care in meeting our specific request for spicy menu. I took up his offer to partake Gurkha beer which was nice accompaniment. We had vegetarian momo, size of which could have been bigger and paneer parcels, well presented and delicious. The main comprised tadka daal, aloo and aubergine all freshly cooked and perfect with garlic naan. The prices are reasonable too and it was very nice dinner experience

Food was simply amazing. I've had Nepalese cuisine before but this was so much better, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and very generous portions. Highly recommended.

Had a takeaway from here one night just at closing time. More than happy to accomodate and the food was brilliant. Definitely recommend the lamb shank dish where the shank falls off the bone. Enjoy!

Strategicly positioned in Weybrigde The Great Gurkhas does not offer any parking facilities. However you can easily find some street parking nearby. The overall atmosphere is nice and the waiting staff are very polite and are happy to make you feel good. The starters I would advise to have the Momo and/or the Qutar Jinngha. The seasonning is done to perfection and they are both great starter. The Jumbo prawns are generous and they taste really good. Be aware that spicy means spicy there. It is not half job and it is true to the traditional dishes. The Rubiyan Duck was sadly overcooked and the tamarin sauce was almost non-existante. The Gurkha Mix special Dal was good but the raw garlic has over powered everything else within the plate. This restaurant offers an overall excellent value for money and a great selection of traditional Nepalese dishes. But remember hot means hot

I am a fan of south asian kitchen. This small restaurant was far over my expectation. Four of us celebrated a birthday here and we all enjoyed very much their very special dishes.
