Visited the Scotts Arms for a birthday meal with the rest of the family back in May and had the most delicious pork belly with mash and black pudding. Tender, tasty and mouth-wateringly moist pork, the crispy crackling and creamy mash all added to the perfect mix of flavours. Friendly staff and welcoming landlord made it a memorable experience. My sister lives locally in Linton so we've been here a few times in the past and never had a bad meal. We always make the effort to pop in at some point over the festive period when the pub is beautifully decorated, the logs fires are warm and inviting, and the guest ales go down a little too quickly! Love this place. Well worth a visit if you're in that neck of the woods. #scottsarms #sicklinghall #villagepub #bestfood #foodie

Delicious Roasts, especially roast potatoes and red cabbage. Worth the trips. We will definitely come back. Also great awareness for gluten free. Would be nice if can add bit more gluten food choices.

Thank you to all the staff, chef and owner. The best place we have eaten in ages. So refreshing to go somewhere and not be disappointed. Thank you for making our Valentine's evening one to remember. Hope to visit you again very soon. Paul & Jo

Went for a celebratory meal tonight. What an amazing meal my wife and I had! The standard is better than most restaurants we have visited in the past and the service was exemplary. All the staff were friendly and lovely and the whole ambience made our evening special. Can’t wait to return and try more delicious meals! They fully deserve 5 stars.

The Scotts is a real favourite pub of mine, so cosy and inviting, a great place to come after a riding lesson with friends at the local stables, to have a drink and a bite to eat.

Lovey, had a buttermilk chicken burger and fries. A slightly pricey for quality but I think you're paying a few more quid for the nice atmosphere. The staff were very nice and accommodating to me and my dog. As a side note the motown and soul music playing was really nice. Excellent taste.

Sunday lunch at 4.30 - lovely ambience - good choice although unusually only turkey left on the roasts that day. Definitely recommend.

Used to regularly frequent the Scotts Arms....always enjoyed it. Ted was always a great host. Then I moved North.....but always had it in mind to re visit. Met up with an old school pal last week and for me, it was a no brainer! Atmosphere was great.....food was great, as ever and the girl that served us couldn't have been more obliging. Just a shame I didn't get to catch up with Ted.....but I will do soon. Thanks guys.....you made a school reunion for two old guys even better!!

We had family lunch today. We picked this as it is halfway between Mansfield & Newcastle. Warm, friendly pub. Great food, I have never had a steak pie like it, fish n chips plus fish pies. Sadly no room for pud!! We will come back for a meal again.

Arrived after completing the 12k circular through Linton etc. Felt a little underdressed! We all had the open sandwich, it was delicious and the chips piping hot. Would definitely return.

Haven't been here for a while but has a lovely Sunday lunch last weekend. Nice atmosphere as quite busy as you'd expect on a Sunday. Enough veggie options for a Sunday menu and food was lovely. Fantastic chips too! Even took a doggy bag home for our canine friends who didn't join us on this occasion

We finished the nearby 'Christmas Tree walk' here with a group drink and a few of us then managed to stay for dinner. Perfect cosy pub and restaurant and the food was brilliant too. We will look forward to returning.

Best cod loin I've had ... used to be a nice pub but now really nice pub and cracking restaurant... so far, i've tried cod loin, lamb rump and stuffed chicken breast.. lots of nice cheffy touches 👌.. pesto mash was amazing and their carrots 🥕 are plain cooked but really special tasting must be good local supply .... Also there is a ghost or two 🤔!

Great pub! We stayed overnight in the car park in our motorhome. We ate in the pub for evening meal and breakfast - both were excellent. Lovely walks in the beautiful area surrounding -with the pub helpfully supplying the routes and maps to take! The staff were really friendly and I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you!
