I don’t usually write reviews but felt the need too: We drove from York last night; on arrival the staff were welcoming and friendly. We were early had a drink at the bar, as a gin lover you have a great choice & your bar guy recommended one I hadn’t tried before. At our table the service was faultless, menu explained, recommendations made & attentive on drink top ups. The food arrived & wow!! Meat cooked to perfection, probably too much for us all; but we gave it our best! Will we be back most definitely & I will be telling our friends about you too. We may even try your place at Boston Spa!

Came today for my husbands birthday after he has been wanting to come for a while. Well was definitely worth the travel the food was epic and did not disappoint! The staff where lovely, helpful and knew their stuff when asked about cocktails and food! The (I’m presuming owner/manager man with amazing curly hair ) made us feel very welcome saying no rush as don’t need table so enjoy and made time to come over and chat. With 5 kids under 5 years old at time it resembled a zoo but the staff were great with them. Thank you will be back very soon ... without kids

I had heard great things about this place, but thought it would be really expensive. When we went last weekend the place is so cool but cozy like a funky cottage, and the food was to die for. Predominantly a meat heavy menu, but boy do they do it well and in good quantity too, with some great seafood also available (can't say I noticed the veggie options but I'm sure they had some). And when the bill came I was very pleasantly surprised by how affordable it actually was compared to similar top level restaurants in the area and in Leeds city centre.

Really nice atmosphere and style inside. Very cosy. They had a couple of veggie/ vegan options. We went with the falafel burger. It was better than I would normally expect in a pub. Probably would go with the truffle pasta next time which was the veggie option recommended. Service was really good. Some of the dishes are a bit expensive but there are more value options as well. I think it is priced fairly for the service and food.

Fantastically friendly staff, very welcoming. Traveled up to Wetherby on my own for work and stumbled into the Duke on a Monday and was made to feel at home by the chatty staff. Went for dinner on Tuesday and they had live music and very chilled out vibe. The staff from the night before had told the Tuesday staff to give me a warm welcome and look after me and they certainly my did that. Now for the food!! Simply amazing. I had the calamari starter and was very enjoyable, very common dish but so many places can't get it right. These guys have nailed it. I ordered the 16oz Ribeye steak, medium rare and it was absolutely, by far, the best steak I've ever eaten. Juicy, tender, far rendered perfectly, well rested... Brilliant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone that comes to Wetherby.

I can totally recommend this restaurant! It has great atmosphere, local looks great, staff is very friendly and the most important thing: food is absolutely delicious! We've had Beef Wellington (you need to remember to pre order it a day before your visit) and it was just amazing. Meat was so tender that was almost melting in mouth. Unfortunately prices are a little high but taste of dishes is worth it. The only thing that I didn't like about this restaurant is the fact, that they automatically add tip for waiters to your bill. In my opinion guests should have a choice, do they like customer service and their food or not, and then decide how much extra money they gonna leave for the restaurant. We would probably give some tip anyway, it is just a little annoying that the restaurat decided for us. But like I already said: you should definitely visit this place!

Had a lovely meal at Sir Dukes. Amazing value too for the early evening set menu. Great food, couldn't fault the staff, and the atmosphere was just right. Will definitely return!

Our first visit to this establishment and it will not be our last, first class service and the sharing platter for two Sunday dinner style which we shared three ways was divine, beautifully presented and tasted even better. No car park but plenty of spaces nearby. See you again soon.

Been waiting to go here for ages. Really enjoyed it but maybe I was expecting too much as it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The steak was nice but probably not the best I’ve eaten. The starter was meant to be chilli and Brie but there was no spice. Staff were great and knowledgable and the atmosphere was nice.

Amazing food and service. Really attentive staff, fun and quirky decor, great cocktails and overall fantastic evening. We went for the sharing platter and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back to try the rest of their extensive menu! P.s. The cookie sandwiches 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

This is a restaurant that cooks the most amazing food, seriously good, tasty, clever, and just plain bloody delicious. I've eaten there three times now. First time a burger with triple cooked chips. Burger had cheese, a chicken escalope and all the trimmings. Served on a Sourdough bun it was lovely. The triple cooked chips were excellent, and such a large portion. Second visit I had the 30 day aged rib eye steak, and although it was only a well later, the triple cooked chips were now off the menu. I plumped for the special fried finished with chorizo and beef dripping crumb. Steak was very good, perfectly cooked and the fact that they use a thermodyne to rest the meat means you will get the closest thing to a perfect steak. Then the last visit, tonight. Imagine being somewhere where they tell you that it is No Meat Wednesday, no bacon, no sausage. No. Bloody. Meat. I like veggies, but I like meat more. I turned up at the last minute at Don't Tell The Duke. Help me! No meat Wednesday!! Marcus the amazing owner ushered me in, and offered me a piece of 90 day aged T bone steak, from locally sourced suppliers. This, backed up with plain fries, and the holy grail of accompaniments, pork belly and leaks. This was one of the most amazing meals EVER. The steak was succulent, tender, perfectly cooked and soooo full of flavour it was a moment when the angels crooned soft umami riffs in the background as I demolished a 16oz Tbone. If you are near here, if you aren't near here, if you live on a planet in the inner plane of the solar system, come here and enjoy great food, great service, an experience you will want to tell your vegetarian friends about, just to annoy them. Meat Free Wednesday!! F&@k That!!
