Very approachable, knowledgeable staff who showed me the dog I was looking for even though I had little experience. I certainly knew everything about the dog when we finished a walk in their woods. Other rescues seem to want a non-refundable deposit prior to even meeting the dog but not here. Gina answered all my questions in depth but the dog I wanted wasn't for me unfortunately, he was lovely, but not for me. Gina is going to contact me when a suitable companion comes available, and having been with her I trust her judgement so I have stopped looking and will wait. Great set up, great people Update Gina has been in touch as she had a dog that was a match for me, I booked an appointment and spent an hour with Casey and Kuro a 4 year old staffie and got a second view with my wife and we committed to adopt, a week later I have Kuro at home with us and he has settled in nicely but it will be a slow process. Big Thanks to all at Oaktree rescue for making my plans a reality, he is fast asleep next to me now πŸ™‚

Very nice cafe. Enjoyed a moist Victoria sponge with peppermint tea along with some friends. The staff chopped very well considering the till was not working. Excellent service

Lovely place where the animals look really well looked after! You can have a look around and see the donkeys and goats but to see cats and dogs I think you need to book specifically as you can't wander around them to keep them calm and happy. There's a little play area by the tearoom which has indoor and outdoor seating so you can grab a bite to eat while the kids play. The cafe area is spotlessly clean with lovely food served too and it's dog friendly as well. There's a little gift shop there and when we went they were having a table top sale as well which was nice. There's a also a lovely walk you can go for too if you fancy taking pups for a longer walk. Well worth a visit, it's lovely to see the animals be so well looked after. Please visit and spend some money there! :)

A safe haven for domestic animals that would otherwise face a dire future. Nice little coffee shop as well. Very relaxing place to be. Great for small kids too!

It is nice to see this place running and most importantly helping so many more animals. We last visited maybe 2013 or 14 and found there to be something "up" with the people we met. A lot of "little chiefs" with a power trip. Almost like they didn't want anyone to adopt a cat or dog. I have seen a lot of negatives things written about the changes made a few years ago but these seem to have worked and there is a lot more happening now from what I see.

Got Cleo from here in December. It's a fantastic place, the animals are obviously very well cared for, and the staff are brilliant. The whole place is spotlessly clean, and there is a nice little cafe. Well recommended.

What a fantastic experience. We went with our Rotary club. Caroline was so enthusiastic and her passion and love for the animals really shone through. Keep up the good work

We'll rounded site that seem to really care about the animals. CafΓ© serving coffee and lunches (not the cheapest but for a good cause). Gift shop for both pets and humans. Same goes for the charity shop, great place for second hand finds, harnesses, leads etc from dogs to horses. Regular animal focussed events and nature trails. Paddocks for hire for private and secure recall training or agility run with the doggo.

I really liked it here. A couple more vegan, gluten free options would have pushed it to 5 stars. PS my dog gives it 7 stars (over excited collie cross)

Very impressed. Good facilities for the cats in their care, and the staff obviously care about and look after the cats extremely well. We were taken to meet the two cats we were interested in, and given plenty of time with each cat to make an informed choice. We hope to adopt our chosen cat this week. Recommended.
