Good service, good food, good view and good value. Family meal out timed just right that it was quite enough that my small people could enjoy there meal with some noise and this didn’t appear to annoy anyone. Staff as normal friendly and courteous. Food was more then filling and desert finished everyone off. Evening light lit up the dark night and you could make out the waves breaking in the rocks below.

This is now one of my favourite pubs. Would definitely recommend, and will return next year when we are back for our holiday.
We have been to The Pier House several times for Sunday lunch and the Carvery is excellent. The indoor and outdoor tables have lovely views over the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. Booking for Sunday is recommended. All in all, a delightful place.
Nice place for our first visit, we were actually having a late afternoon walk when we stumbled on this place, so we decided to give it a try. Service was good and quite friendly food was really nice and in the right portion size. Deserts were just as nice but oh so indulgent. Again, it is very tasty and worth the £8 there was no rush while there nor was there any presure in paying until your ready. I would go here again next time in the area.
Stopped by here for beer and mussels. Both of which were very good. Have been here a few times when in the area for a drink on the decking terrace looking out to the sea. Lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon and sink a few drinks and food.
Moved to North Devon last year but not been to this venue until now. Have visited 4 times in the past week with husband/visiting friends for coffees, drinks, cake and each time we have all been really impressed. Bar staff are smart, professional and friendly and the prices are so reasonable given the amazing location terrace views. Will definitely return
Beautiful place to eat with stunning views. Delicious food and drinks. The staff are all helpful and friendly, we had a wonderful time for the family Sunday roast as well the next night I came back with my husband for our dinner date, it was lovely. Thank you.

Wasn’t able to book for Sunday carvery as we left it too late but the member of staff stated we could sit in the “non bookable” area of the restaurant. This was a large function room with lots of seating, and we were able to move tables together. Not sure if the member of staff we encountered was too happy about this but sat here and enjoyed a wonderful meal anyway!
I have been twice now, and this place is fantastic for those with allergies. I have a wheat, gluten and nut allergy. There are plenty of options available with an allergy code on the menu. Good tastes fantastic, and great service and friendly staff!
Came here a few times whist staying in the area. Food and view were great. The main reason however for the five star is the wonderful staff and how good they are with little ones. Made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely come back.
Went here for an evening meal and booked online. First time going and was a bit worried with reviews we had seen. However so glad we went as the food was brilliant. The muscles starter was delicious and the prawn cocktail was massive. Mum had the smoked trout and avocado starter and that was also delicious. The mains also lived up to expectation and the fish and chips mum had was massive. The pork belly my husband was lovely and the pork just fell apart. Would go back if we are in westward ho again.
Visited here a couple of times whilst on vacation for refreshing drinks. Fabulous ocean views, clean, tidy and well presented. Staff friendly and polite. Got to give a shout out to the fabulous toilets... Spotlessly clean!!
Myself and my wife went for a meal at the Pier House while staying in Devon, we were seated by the window overlooking the sea which was stunning.
We both had the rack of ribs which was delicious! The service was excellent and everyone we spoke to was very friendly.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a family of 6 with 1 dog we shuffled a few tables but had plenty of space in the bar.
My family really enjoyed the food. However, as someone who can't eat Dairy, the options were a bit limited.
