the staff said you don't have to book a table ... you do!!

Haven't been to Hobbs boat for a few years , and was presently surprised how much it's changed , the place is really nice and staff and service was excellent, I had a rib eye steak and it was cooked beautifully, would highly recommend going there for a meal , there is also a premier inn on site if ur not from the area and planned on staying , 5 star from me .
What an absolutely fantastic night at Hobbs Boat!! 12 of us went for my daughter's 18th birthday and cannot compliment the staff highly enough!! They went above and beyond to make our night as special as possible, fantastic staff, delicious food ( at a reasonable price) with a warm friendly atmosphere! Would 100% recommend and will definitely be returning!! A huge thank you to everyone there!
Went in as an afterthought of somewhere else being closed. Best decision made beautiful food well presented all served in a timely manner. Lovely welcoming staff couldn't do enough for you. The only shame is were going home tomorrow. If we had found this place earlier in our holidays would certainly been a regular diner.
Was brought as a surprise from my best friend on Monday. We didn't realise it was quiz night but didn't spoil the evening at all. Had run out of pulled pork Wellington so I ordered the lamb with cauliflower cheese. Piping hot and delicious! Gavin brought my profiteroles with a candle in and everyone sang happy birthday to me. Had a lovely evening, thank you so much �

We stayed one night before going to Bristol airport. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming and the food in the restaurant was lovely. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
Good service at this pub attached to a Premier Inn. Stayed one night, room clean. Unfortunately unable to open a window to let fresh air in, conditioned air horrible and therefore unable to sleep well. Had to go outside to be able to breath fresh air at 2am! Food was fine and service really good.
Excellent food, freshly prepared and served within a wonderful atmosphere, by knowledgeable friendly staff. A really good selection of food with a cheaper lunchtime offer made this really good value for money. Maisie, our waitress was lovely and ensured our meal was exactly as we wanted. I would recommend this to anyone.
Standard Whitbread affair. Visited on a Friday lunch with three others. I had the 8oz sirloin, and the others had fish and chips. Good sized portions of fish, and my steak was juicy. I liked that it was served with crispy onion rings. Service was friendly, and everyone enjoyed their pub lunch 🙂
AWESOME place! Great refresher after my last (not so good) visit to a different place. The food is well done with a great atmosphere and amazing servers. Genuinely an awesome spot although my was a little dry. But that's the only negative I have from the entire experience
Good service on a very hot day. Friendly staff and good food. Kids loved the sundae's. Breakfast was also great as part of staying at the premier inn. Would definitely go again.
Visited the Hobbs Boat this evening and had to come straight on here to let everyone know how wonderful our experience was! Our waitress Maisie was absolutely lovely and gave us outstanding service with a smile. Mike the manager was also always on hand to help and give us all a laugh. The food was delicious and our group had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We will be back very soon!
Easter Sunday meal with family. Nice relaxed atmosphere and fully booked. The menu choices are British pub classics. Service was attentive for drinks and food, with the kids starters coming out quickly.
All in all a nice pub, with honest pub food and good kids options. Also catered well for Gluten Free with a full allergen bible and separate fryer (good knowledge of cross contamination).
We always enjoy our time here. Staff are friendly and accomodating. The young server David makes us feel at home, always lifts our spirit up, creating a great dining experience.
First visit and probably not my last. The food was good and the overall feel of the place was warm, clean and friendly. The waitress Sharon was extremely polite and had a warm personality. Keep up these standards

Have been several times & never been disappointed! The food is always top quality and the staff even more so! Mike and his team are fabulous - special shout out to our waitress Mazie who is so attentive and helpful. She was our waitress last time too and remembered us all!
Can’t rate it highly enough.
We stumbled across this place by accident, looking for a last minute place to eat and to escape the chaos of the motorway. When we checked online there were no spaces until later than we had planned. However, we thought we'd try our chances by popping in and checking to see if they had any space at all. The gentleman that greeted us, Mike, said that he could squeeze us in about 15 mins after we arrived, and even if he couldnt, he'd do his best to open an area of the restaurant to get us in. The food was both excellent and plentiful and the service from the staff was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome, especially by Mike, and the whole atmosphere was both warm and friendly and the staff really seemed to enjoy working there. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area!

Good food and personable service. The staff were willing to adapt my menu due to diabetes as I could not have any dessert that was on the menu so they provided a fruit salad for under a pound. The veggie bacon was amazing.
