Booked over the telephone for evening meal. Explained that we had a dog with us. Not a problem. Given a window seat away from main restaurant. Arrived friendly greeting from staff. Extensive menu lots of choice. Worked our way through Greek Mezze Whitebait. Salmon with tagliatelle and cod with prawns. Squeezed in Tiramasu and Apple and Raspberry pie. To finish Calypso coffee. A lovely relaxing evening attentive and helpful staff. Nice background music all helped to celebrate 35 years of marriage. Left comfortably full and ready for a long walk along the promenade. A great find amongst the fish and chips burger and fries of Weston . Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
was so nice there really enjoyed my sea bass fish the most my boyfriend enjoyed his steak the staff were friendley and gave a warm welcome I highly recommend this place to anyone who comes here

We love this restaurant. We had our wedding celebration meal here nearly 3 yrs ago, only 4 of us but Steve ( the manager) made it very special. We have been there many times since including Christmas day ( awesome). Our most recent visit last night for my husband's birthday just the 2 of us, the food was excellent, Steve ( manager) very charming as always, his staff on the ball we would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a true restaurant with no gimics just quality. Well.done Steve and staff.
A totally amazing experience. The staff were super attentive without being constantly in you face. The good was just out of this world. I had a fillet steak with port & Stilton sauce & my partner had the duo of duck. Both meals were exceptional, my steak cooked exactly as I asked (I'm very fussy about my steak!!) Not one part of the evening I could say anything bad about. Old highly recommend it to anyone living in or visiting Weston. We'll definitely be going back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We had my husband’s 70th Birthday meal here. There were 18 of us and the food and service were excellent. Would definitely recommend the Thatched Cottage for any special celebrations.
Fabulous meal, excellent service. Very attentive but not in your face. Fillet was melt in your mouth and lamb was amazing. Thank you for starting our evening out on a high.

We visit this restaurant twice whilst on holiday, and wasn't disappointed one bit. First time we sat outside relaxing watching the world go by near the firepits, ordered pork chop roast potatoes and hallomi pitta greek salad. Inside the second time due to a heavy downpour, ordered the traditional fish and chip. The restaurant is tastefully done plenty of room in between tables, its spotlessly clean, the toilets we're immaculate. Staff are friendly and attentive checking everything is okay with the meal that was delicious on both occasions. Plus they make a great aperol spritz 🍹We would highly recommend this restaurant can't fault it one bit it ticks all the boxes .
Located at 14 Knightstone Road near the Cabot Cove Hotel in a charming 18th century grade ll listed building (one of Weston super Mare's oldest pieces of architecture).
It oozes character which makes it the perfect setting for an independent business to operate from.

We just had a lovely brunch with a family at The Old Thatched Cottage. A very cosy atmosphere at the fireplace, super delicious food (especially king prawns!), and our host Julia exceptionally welcoming, friendly and professional advising on our choices ♡ Thank you so much for having us, we'll be definitely back ♡

There is a good menu and it is very popular for lunch on a Sunday so I would book a table well in advance.
Very pleasant inside and there is an outside seated area which is great in the warm weather.
In the autumn and winter when it is cold the fires are lit and the blankets are brought our for you.
Highly recommended for sure for dinner when in Weston Super Mare.

Good food and drinks. The chicken souvlaki was better than most of the places I’ve been. The service was a bit slow considering that it was quiet, the prices are a bit high but I think you pay for the location more than the food
The oldest building on Weston Super Mare. What fabulous food, great ambience, lovely staff. A fantastic evening. The night before we sat outside and enjoyed a drink with the warmth of the firepit. Gorgeous. I had Lamb Kleftico which was beautiful and my husband had a fab Beef Bourbignon. Right on the front too.
