Ozen is a lovely, authentic Japanese restaurant in the heart of Westcliff. I always enjoying eating here and the service is great! They have a lot of vegan options, all reasonably priced and extremely tasty. My favourite Japanese in Southend.

Food was great as well as the costumer service. The staff made sure that we were satisfied with the food served. Very quick service as well. The only room for improvement might be that the tables although visibly clean, they were so sticky? Might be with the cleaning products they used or the table itself, not sure. Overall though, good Japanese food.

First time here. Excellent food and as you would expect, very well presented. Good choice on the menu but not too excessive. Service was carried out swiftly and friendly. We went early on a Sunday evening so fairly quiet but it probably has a great atmosphere on busy nights. Recommended.

Outstanding restaurant! Amazing food with great staff who knew what they were doing and always on top of cleanliness and making sure customers were enjoying their food and atmosphere. A great addition to the Southend area and I'd definitely recommend if you love sushi and Japanese food!

Lovely restaurant. Nice setting, friendly staff, decent menu. We had their Ramen and their Teriyaki Salmon. Asked for the Salmon not to be too dry and burnt like some places do and the Salmon was suitably cooked. Soft shell crab has chilli mayonnaise so if you don’t like spice, let them know. They were also great with our young kids. Free residential parking on Cotswold Road

We absolutely love this place and have become regulars. The katsu is lovely and the chicken katsu sushi is the stand out for me. We have eaten both inside and now purchase the takeaways and all times we have bought food from here it’s been great. My favourite Japanese place I’ve been too Highly recommend, staff friendly too. A great addition to Westcliff

I have to say, this was some of the nicest food I have tasted in a while! The food was hot, fresh and full of flavour!! The service was incredibly friendly, accommodating and attentive but in no way overbearing!! The restaurant is small, but I think this really helps to add the atmosphere!! I would strongly advise booking a table in advance otherwise you may not get a seat! I will be coming back here! And I will be recommending it to my my friends and family!!

The food was very good every dish we had was delicious we couldn't fault it at all. The staff were nice and friendly. The only thing was it felt rushed, we had 1 hour and 30 minutes to eat and get out which didn't make it a relaxing meal out, I was disappointed.

Wow! What an amazing experience. The staff were so friendly, and the food was excellent. Portion sizes were very generous, my husband and I both left feeling absolutely stuffed. I'm a huge lover of Japanese food, so for me this was such a treat, the kind of restaurant I would expect to have to travel to London for, just a short drive away! I had the Chirashi, basically a bowl of sushi rice topped with mixed sashimi. The sashimi was well cut and you can taste the great quality of the fish. I also had a tomago roll which was a sweet little side. The sushi rice itself is made very well, incredibly tasty and sticky enough to easily eat with chopsticks but not clumpy. I also had the jasmine tea which complemented the meal well. My husband had the Gyu Don Beef with a side of Prawn Tempura. The Gyu Don Beef was flavourful, and the tempura prawns were cooked perfectly. We each had a dessert, my husband had the custard dorayaki which he enjoyed, and I had the Kyoto Mochi which was the perfect finish to the meal. It tasted amazing and the texture of the mochi was perfect! The atmosphere and decor are lovely, I cannot wait to come back. As much as I loved what I ate tonight, I cannot wait to try the other delectable looking dishes!

Fantastic dinner last night. Yakitori, Goyza and a dragon roll to start. Pork tonkotsu and Katsu don for mains. Finished off with dorayaki and mochi for dessert. Lovely to have such a reasonably priced Japanese restaurant local to us.

Amazing Japanese food in lovely authentic setting. My Dad has travelled extensively to Japan and says the food here measures up well. Just go! Lunchtimes are quieter.
