Went here for dinner and the food was amazing, we got our meal from the specials menu, and it did not disappoint, all the ingredients were fresh and it was one of the best pasta dishes we’ve had. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Oh and the fish was cooked to perfection.
We had a fabulous lunch at The Jolly Roger Cafe. We went as a group and the staff were friendly, professional and super efficient. Something you can't always say in the UK... they had a smile on their faces and couldn't do enough for us. We ordered grilled fish and battered fish - both fresh, hot and delicious. The batter was perfect. For dessert, we had the homemade apple pie and the baked jam roll - both served warm. I could have had the same again. Even the cup of tea was delicious - steaming hot on a rainy summer day. Thank you to everyone at The Jolly Roger Cafe for making our group visit exceptional - we will be back!
Four of us went here for breakfast this morning, the food was lovely and staff were very friendly. And got lucky with 2hrs free parking out front. Will definitely be back.

Amazing fish and chips. Usually at seaside cafe's, the quality of the cod isn't great, but that's not the case here. It's fresh, tender and juicey.
The salad is also fresh.
There's a good view of the sea from the cafe.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food.
They even gave my nephews a lollipop each when they finished their meals too :-)
The staff were very friendly.
There's free parking just outside for an hour if you can get a space or above the ramp too.
There's pay and display parking nearby too.
What a lovely family run business, this is out go to place when we visit the seafront, in fact we travelled down last night just for the cod, superb and also very doggy friendly. Mwah we will see you soon, Pete marie,Eadie and Poppy the shihpoo.10/10
The food and service was exceptional. The food came super quick and the waitress was extremely friendly. The perfect location for a seaside lunch.

This is a lovely place. Food is great, it's nice to see homemade options as well as excellent fish and chips! The service is also really good. All the staff are friendly and very attentive 5🌟👍

Suggestion only: in this heat would be more comfortable to supply optional seat pads so not sticking to chairs.

Great breakfast at the Jolly Roger, best one I have had at any of the 'Arches' cafes. Always freshly cooked and the Sausages in particular are amazing!
Went for breakfast on 31st July with a number of other friends and family probably about 20 people breakfast was amazing freshly cooked and arrived very hot well done to all staff fantastic I will be back thank you
Visited 3 times so far with my young son and I've always loved the food, staff and beautiful sea view. Had the delicious veggie breakfast and banana milkshake when I last went. Prices are very reasonable considering how near it is to the open top 68 bus tour stop, Adventure Island rides/ arcades and kids play fountains. Just need to remember to bring cash as cards aren't accepted.

This is where my in-laws and their friends go to celebrate birthdays. The food is always surprisingly good, especially considering the limited kitchen area they have. It is always hot and the staff cheerful and friendly. The sweets and starters are also good. What more could you want!
