Walking distance from the Airbnb we stayed in , so it was perfect. Popped in a couple of times and shared some starters which were very good. Posh chips were amazing!

Really enjoyed lunch today, friendly efficient service. The food was far better than a chain pub, This is a really nice find. We will be back

Had a fantastic experience here earlier today for our Sunday lunch. Really enjoyable food and great service. We had 2 young boys (5 & 7) who both have very picky eating habits. Staff here went above and beyond to accommodate their needs and helped make the entire experience a really great one for our family. Thank you to everyone at the Duke for making it a great meal out today :)

Arrived on a fairly busy Saturday evening, The Server showed us our booked table. Drinks arrived straight away, following by very tasty starters, didn't have to wait for the mains to arrive. Generous meal portion size for not much of money. Service very attentive. Thank you for a very pleasant evening πŸ˜ƒ. Happy to return and recommend it!πŸ€—

Sat out side the front of the pub, which is on a not very busy road, as the back need the grass cutting. Didn't eat but the menu was extensive and well priced. The bar staff were friendly and the best and wine were all well priced.

Great for a Sunday lunch or dinner with a good selection of sweets too. Most beers had run out when we were there because of a local event over the weekend but the local brew was excellent.

Great food and fine service. Limited ale selection with a couple of empty pumps. Otter Great but many local ales are better than Doom Bar.

Great food, reasonable price. Nice selection of beers. Slightly less cosy and warm, friendly , starting to feel a bit like a chain pub. But always busy and never any complaints about food from me our my guests

What a great meal! Dropped in for Sunday lunch. The wait was negligible despite the place being pretty busy and when the food arrived, it was very good. For a start, it was HOT. The roast spuds and veg. were fine. To be absolutely fair, they didn't set the world alight, but they were certainly above average. Personally I am not a great fan of fried stuffing balls, though they did taste nice. The meat was the real clincher. Normally if the place makes any effort, it goes into the accompaniments, while the meat...... well it's just meat innit? The Duke is different. They REALLY pay attention to the meat and I can honestly say it was the tastiest and tenderest I have had, away from home. That goes for both my wife's beef and my pork. Absolutely unbeatable. And finally, after 35 years, I've found a place outside of Yorkshire that can make a Yorkshire Pudding worthy of the name.

Lunch Β£13 for 3 courses exceptional value. Good food. Helpful staff. Good venue. What more can you ask. Went there last Wednesday with a disabled person and she was made extra welcome and made very comfortable with extra space around her for her poorly legs. Have several times and will be going there again soon. Well done. We were made very welcome. Thank you all staff especially the chef who came out to ask us if we were happy with our meals.

Popped in on the way back from Longleat, had the pork belly roast with the biggest piece of crackling πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹.... It was delicious πŸ‘. My granddaughter had the sausage and chips, the sausages were quality and the chips were huge... You could tell they were hand cut. The service was great and felt very welcome.

What a lovely friendly Pub. Six of us for Sunday lunch, very friendly service the chef even came to talk to us. The food was delicious and very generous portion sizes (large and small portions for roast dinner). Would throughly recommend.
