This place is a gem. It’s a beautiful place; very clean and well presented, right next to the sea. Fresh catch every day, food deliciously prepared and served by friendly, welcoming staff. And you can get fresh seafood to take home with you from a separate little place next to the restaurant. They were quite busy when we called, today, after we randomly found them through Google maps. A table wasn’t guaranteed but we thought we’d chance it; very happy we did. They kindly made space for myself, my wife and two children, and the food was delicious. Portions are extremely reasonable, and quality is just right. My wife, being Japanese, is not easily impressed by seafood, she’s used to some of the best in the world, and Rocky Bottoms scored very highly in her book. And the children were pleased with what they had, as was I. Also, don’t leave without having the fudge brownie. We’ll certainly be returning there.

A wonderful place on the Norfolk Coast to have lunch with friends and family. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs welcome. We had the fish cakes, crab and lobster burger, mackerel pate and avocado salad. Around £25 per head. On-site parking. Close to West Runton beach. Perfect end to a morning of fossil hunting.

Had a lovely meal which was slightly tainted by a mess up in the kitchen. The starters and the mains were brought out at the same time. This didn’t really affect the lobster meal but the chicken in the ramen broke apart and formed a stodgy remains in the last 1/4 of the ramen. They offered to take the oysters off the bill but we didn’t chase that up as we’d ran out of time. If this hadn’t have happened it would be a 4/5 * and we WILL be going back. Just unlucky on this visit but would recommend a visit. If ordering chips request unsalted as the kids couldn’t eat them. Also the garlic bread is amazing.

Incredible staff, great and attentive service and lovely surroundings. Prices have increased from being circa £35 for a full lobster to £50. It would have been perfect if the tented area had heating as it was cold and rainy the day we went with no space inside the restaurant. However the staff did an amazing job, gave us blankets and moved us inside to have dessert. Book to avoid disappointment as it gets very busy during peak periods.

We came here for lunch to enjoy the last of the British summer. The atmosphere is amazing, the views are great - especially if you take a short stroll to the cliffs. It was fully booked, and seems to be most days, so call ahead to reserve a spot. We had the seafood platter and it was more than enough for 2 people for lunch. The food was fresh and well cooked. Will definitely be back!

Found this place by accident and so pleased we did. Great service. Fairly pricey but worth every penny. The grilled Oysters in Parmesan and Spinach, Poke bowl with crab, and warm lobster with garlic butter and the Thermidor were all fantastic. Highly recommended, will definitely return.

The service we received for lunch was excellent, friendly young people, happy and enthusiastic. Grilled oysters were amazing, salt n pepper squid was nice if a little rubbery. Crab linguini was nice for my partner but too much oil accumulated in the bottom of the bowl. I had the goan king prawn curry, it was delicious but prawns slightly overcooked. Strawberry and mint sorbet was more of an ice cream. Portion sizes were perfect and wine went well. We'll definitely be back very soon.

Absolutely amazing. Advise to book. We turned up, got a seat just inside the door. Food was excellent. Staff were brilliant. Highly recommend. What a gem of a place.

We were in Norfolk on a short break and felt we had to track down some lobster. Here, there was plenty on offer, we both went for warm lobster, which was offered with a salad, and new potatoes or fries. It came with a choice of three sauces, we both went for the buttery garlicky one, swerving away from Thermidor or Thai. Delicious. Service was impeccable, price about what you'd expect. The room we were seated in, and to be fair we hadn't booked and just walked-in was windowless, a disappointment on a lovely coastal day.

Nothing short of fabulous. I had researched before so we knew what we wanted to have but it was an incredible spread. With the sun out and a slight breeze it was a fab setting for a seafood extravaganza. We had the platter and got chips on the side...which weren't needed. It says for 2 but could easily feed 4 of you! Good choice of no/low alcohol drinks too. Staff were attentive without being OTT. Lots of space between tables and the marquee is for those that want shelter from the sun. There is also some tables indoors. All round fab lunch to round off our stay in Norfolk!

Spotted this from the main road into Cromer. What a find! Good location and love the laid-back vibe. I imagine this is full on a hot summer's day. Oysters were as fresh as they come. Thai style dressing was amazing. Lobster well cooked, with garlic butter. Great chips and tasty crab. Would definitely visit again!

We love coming here 2 or 3 times a year and came again today for our sons birthday, it didn't disappoint. In fact my crab linguine was better than ever and I have it every time I come. Our only disappointment was the service charge they put on. I find this so frustrating as we would always leave a good tip because the food and service is impeccable, but when done like this it just feels like an extra charge and i ended up not leaving as much as i normally would! This won't put us off though. We can't wait to get back there ASAP. Lovely experience again

What a great place! Seafood is so tasty, staff are really great and the location and views are lovely. We stopped for a snack but next time we visit North Norfolk we will have a lot more food and drink!

Personal choice but the tempura batter on the oysters was a bit heavy - have had lighter elsewhere - ditto on the fish. The fish itself however was delicious, fresh and moist and the oysters were meaty. Overall an excellent meal with friendly and helpful staff.

Absolutely stunning. What a platter!!! The Lanzerac Chardonanay pairs perfectly with the subtle ocean taste of all the fresh seafood. Best creamy oysters I have ever eaten in my entire life. Perfectly prepared. Service was great- just wish the sun shined that day.

This place doesn't really need reviews, it is packed out seemingly all the time, however, we had such a wonderful experience I am writing one anyway! We wanted to eat outside, they open at 12, we were there a bit early having walked - "no problem but it is going to pour down at 1, are you sure?", then despite an endless queue of people arriving where we could easily have been forgotten outside, out popped someone with menus and to take our order. Had a whole lobster, the family that run the restaurant go a catch the lobsters each day, it was incredible. My wife is actually allergic to shellfish, but had a thai red haddock curry, that were it not for the lobster and crab would be a must have, it was spectacular. This is an absolute wow place, unless you go catch it yourself you are never having lobster more fresh than this and really cool service to round out the experience. (small point, I had the thermidor which I wouldn't do next time, it was basically an onion topping but scraped off easily, just not what I was expecting and no mention of onion on the menu, should have just had it plain / buttered - did not detract at all as the fish is so good)

Food and service was flawless. However the interior was a letdown and felt a little sterile like a Novotel breakfast area. Also the owner has stated that the automatically added service charge is removable, but that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of a relaxed experience. This should definitely be removed and left to the customers discretion. Can't wait to go back in the summer when we can sit outside!
