Enjoyed our stay here over the Easter weekend. We had the isabella room which is facing the road. It can get a little noisy from the road but with ear plugs it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was delicious and a wide choice to pick from
Had a fantastic dinner in the restaurant finished with the most delicious Chocolate and Hazelnut Martini!!
Thankfully only had to stumble up the stairs to bed as we were staying in the Carla room. A very comfortable stay. Decor throughout hotel and restaurant is superb. Great shower in the room too.
Staff were brilliant and very friendly. Especially the owner/manager/front of house/barman (sorry not quite sure and didn’t get his name) but he was super lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
We’ve visited St Leonard’s for lunch and dinner on numerous occasions and they never disappoint!
The food is glorious, the cocktails are very special and the service is second to none.
We’ve also stayed in the rooms above a few times, they are excellent value for money, very modern, clean and we’d always choose St Leonard’s if we were in the area.
We’ll definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family.
Terry and his team have it spot on x
We ate here and also stayed overnight. We found the food excellent and the staff just the right amount of attentive, intelligent and charming — they have obviously had great training. Breakfast was fantastic too.
As other reviewers have stated, the food is quite expensive, but so’s everything these days, and we’re more than happy to support a lovely independent restaurant.
On the other hand, if anything we thought our room was underpriced! Every single detail had been carefully considered. It was comfortable, beautifully decorated and included great extra touches, such as home baked cookies and local liqueur in the mini bar. We have stayed in boutique hotels twice this price that were nowhere near as pristine and well appointed.
Big thanks to all the team!
This was an amazing hotel doing amazing food. I had an awesome weekend away. The room was well decorated, clean, and absolutely amazing. The quality of the food blew me away. The only downside of this amazing hotel and restaurant is no parking. Because I was only there 1 night, I could park in the village centre (5 mins walk), but any longer would require moving car. It would be worth it and I am returning
A delightful stay in St Leonards, started with a warm welcome check in. The room tastefully decorated had everything you needed, with additional touches of cookies and amenities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the morning breakfast deliciously tasty. Would recommend and look forward to returning.
Delicious food great service and drinks. Fantastic restaurant with a variety of starters mains and desserts. I visited for a Sunday roast and it was simply excellent. A choice of beef pork or lamb all with Yorkshire puddings veg and potatoes. The menu had lots of options fish vegetarian and I would think any group would be more that catered for.
The drink menu was also superb and good wine list too.
Service was excellent could not fault it and I would have no problem in recommending St. Leonard's.
Would make a reservation to eat.
Really enjoyable meal and atmosphere - had a really lovely evening and would definitely return. I am vegetarian- so would be fab to see a couple more vegi options but literally couldn’t fault anything about the experience from start to finish 😊
Cant fault this place! Was absolutely spotless. Bed and pillows very comfy, breakfast was delicious and the owner and the staff were so lovely and obviously enjoy each others company as there was lots of laughter going on, which was such a pleasure to hear. Definitely going back! Only downside if I HAVE to find one, is parking is a challenge!
Fantastic food, gorgeous cocktails, great service and very comfy seating! On the pricey side, but worth it for a treat - you get what you pay for.
I'll hopefully be back soon!
What a beautiful spot! We escaped London for a night of peace and quiet, and St Leonard's did not disappoint. Perfectly positioned for a wander around the delights of West Malling, this is the ideal weekend getaway.
The room was spacious yet cosy, and we loved the addition of the bathtub. Breakfast was included and just as delicious as we'd hoped - and I was happy to see that they had gluten free bread as an option too.
Top tip - get a hot chocolate from the bar to take up to your room at the end of the day!
We loved our experience at St Leonard's in West Malling. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of their rooms for a couple of nights as well as having dinner and brunch in their restaurant. The room was lovely, very nicely decorated and well stocked. Nice and quiet and the bathroom was gorgeous. The restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Really stylish decor and the food was delicious: inventive and creative, cooked to perfection. My favourite was the dark chocolate fondant with plums. Would have eaten 10 if I could.
Had a fantastic stay. Our room was excellent and great value for money. The manager and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was very good and there were a variety of delicious options. We also highly recommend having dinner in the restaurant at least once as the service, atmosphere and food was absolutely brilliant. Will look forward to staying again!
Beautiful restaurant had a lovely Sunday lunch, my wife who loves her roast dinners was impressed (not easily done) so it has to be very good.
We came a bit early but they were very accommodating. The food is delicious but the service from the hard working staff was exceptional .
They were always smiling and set the right ambience will definitely be back.
What a find! Delicious food, elegantly presented. Attentive service, lovely atmosphere, very stylish decor on the lower level of the restaurant. The bar area and top level of the restaurant however seemed very dark and not so inviting.
Exceptional food and friendly, attentive service. Very much enjoyed brunch and am already looking forward to returning at some point for dinner. Lovely, relaxing environment. Highly recommended.
A real gem in West Malling. The restaurant is light and airy with a relaxed feel, but beautifully done out, as we're the loos! The food was exceptional. We had beef, which was melt in your mouth, with the most delicious and crunchy roast potatoes and an impressive Yorkshire pudding. The chocolate delice for dessert would not disappoint any lover of chocolate or caramel. Every course was beautifully presented. Service was very attentive. There are high end wines available, but we selected from the regular list and were very happy with our choice. Terry's secret recipe rum punch is also highly recommended. We will be back.
I’ve eaten at my fair share of fine dining and Michelin restaurants over the years and I can honestly say this place is right up there. In a time when the hospitality industry has taken such a knock, St Leonard’s is a shining beacon of positivity, hope and damn fine food.
Tom’s menu is thoughtful, seasonal and incredibly well executed. The ‘tempura nori salmon roll’ is an absolute must, surely their signature dish. The wine list is elegant yet approachable and it’s clear Tom and Terry have a great affinity to both wine and food in equal measure.
Outstanding food aside, where St Leonard’s really excels is in its service. Terry’s front of house team are first class. You honestly won’t find better in any restaurant (and I’ve certainly found much worse). They’re attentive but not stuffy. It’s the perfect balance. This review may feel overly effusive but I feel St Leonard’s has all the makings of a Michelin star restaurant in the next 18-24 months and I want to say “I was there at the beginning”. Keep up the good work and high standards team. We’ll be back time and time again.
