Excellent countryside pub which is great for families. Came on the weekend for some lunch and was very surprised with how good it was. Luckily we're fairly local so will be returning for more. The pub itself is divided into two sections, the main pub and a newer building at the back, including outd
This place is fantastic, easy and plenty of parking. Lots of tables inside outside, great design like wow. Food comes quickly and tastes just amazing, ordered fish and chips fresh and crunchy. Nachos perfect could be more spicy. Next time will try rest of the menu πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹
Absolutely fantastic place! Can't believe I've never been before! Great food, great staff and lovely surroundings! Bought my Mum for a Sunday roast, for her Birthday and we had The Crypt table! It was so unique and the whole building has lots of history, which I love! Staff were really good and the
Visited for Sunday lunch, pub was very busy but service was very good. Portions were large & food very tasty, but we were too full for dessert unfortunately! Only criticism was not enough veg on plate, but you can pay for extra. Would recommend & we'll be back again.
Been coming to The George for years always great food and staff are lovely. Seen the menu and facilities change over the decade. Great for families and dogs.
Really very good. Had lunch and the service was perfect, attentive but not imposing. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. If I had to give any downside I would mention not taking cash (once cash is gone the banks get a piece of every transaction everywhere). Apart from that really exce
We had an evening meal with friends. I had local sausage with duck egg and chunky chips. Excellent. There is a good range of beers, but the choices of top end whisky are limited. The staff are friendly and welcoming the atmosphere in this charming traditional English country pub was pleasant and pea
Beautiful English countryside pub, huge portions of food, great selection of Ales and beers and friendly staff.
This was a lunch stop around 2pm for our circular walk. I'd read the reviews before. In agreement with others the portions are huge. Our single portion of sweet potato chips was shared between 3 adults. Good service, great light lunch food, good beer too. I'd come here again.
Lovely meal out with a friend. The pizza I ordered arrived after my friend's scampi which was a little disappointing although I shared her chips which were lovely and crispy. The place was almost empty by 9pm. The parking was tricky because the spaces are tight and at strange angles. Overall I would
We love the George Inn we tend to go whenever we can. It’s great to see the new outdoor seating pods and outdoor seating area. There is a large kids play park for little ones to run around and play. Great food!!
Went for a lovely afternoon tea as an early mother's day treat, it was delicious, plenty of food we had to bring some home. Reasonably priced, would highly recommend, staff are lovely and made it feel really special. Definitely be back for more.
A great birthday meal. Amazing portion sizes and really good service from the staff particularly Charlie. Thank you
Lovely place, loads of nice outdoor seating, including shelterd little wooden pod things and stuff. Lovely food is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Little play area for kids, which is good for families, but not ideal for a quieter meal, still nice though.
Excellent food and went out of their way when requesting condiments. Very attentive. Made it an excellent Mothers Day treat.
