Fantastic local family pub! Been going in here for years and always have the same warm welcome. Homemade cooked food is served daily and the staff are wonderful. Dogs are also welcome inside the pub. Come and see what you are missing out on. One of Kent’s finest little treasures!
My friends and I were at the Duke on Thursday 29th March, they had a great band playing called 'The Reyes' , the atmosphere was superb, the bar staff were excellent, no long waits for drinks, even though it was cramped band side of the pub the other side was available if you wanted to chat. Fantastic evening, thank you x
Food to die for had the roast beef omg it was melt in the mouth xxx
Superb food, friendly staff, and dog friendly 🐶
Even gave Muffins a sausage on his birthday 🎉
5* Would recommend to everyone 👌🏻
Been cycling past it for a few years and thought I'll have to go in there one day'! So yesterday we went in there for lunch and it was well worth the visit! Sure we'll be going back there soon!
This very popular pub is becoming a regular haunt on a Thursday evening with Sonia. Sadly, our visit is all too brief but I have promised myself to return for a meal one day. The atmosphere is so welcoming as are the staff and the red wine is excellent. Thank you Sonia for introducing me!
My husband Mark and I had our joint 50th birthday party at the Duke on Saturday 20th May. We hired the restaurant and covered patio area and enjoyed a fantastic Hog roast provided by a lovely local guy. Jon and Helen provided all the other food including the most scrumptious Brownies. Local DJs Rob and Andy provided the music - a real trip down memory lane.
We had the most fantastic evening and I have received nothing but thanks and praise from our guests for the warm welcome, beautiful location and fantastic food. Nothing was too much trouble.
THANK YOU Jon and Helen for making our 50th celebration an evening to remember. xx
A favourite of ours. Such a pretty pub in a lovely little village. Great & very accommodating staff, great atmosphere & great food!
I can highly recommend this pub great food and helpful friendly staff. If anyone has an allergy like my son they have an easy guide that very clear and helpful
Amazing night, fantastic Christmas meal, superb service and great atmosphere. Could not have asked for anything more.
Had wonderful drinks and dinner on Friday. Fish and chips were delicious. Will be back and thanks for the lift home
Great food! Great atmosphere!! Sitting in the garden listening to the birds!
Awesome!
Lovely location lovely garden and food was great will def go again very soon 😀
Really friendly staff, beautiful restaurant. Lovely location, an all-round wonderful place to visit!
We had a roast dinner and it was very nice indeed and the service was good and friendly a well worth visit
New discovery!!! Roast Lamb was beautiful. Great food, great atmosphere so we’ll be back.
Absolutely superb...Perfectly cooked Roast Lamb and the best Roast Potatoes ever...
The service was excellent a perfect Mothers Day Lunch...
We will definitely be revisiting
The service was superb. We went with my son who has Coeliac Disease. The server (Helen) was phenomenal. She double checked if anyone had put anything with gluten in into the fryer used for chips. They had … meaning the chips were no longer gluten free. So she arranged for his chips to be oven cooked rather than him miss out. Truly going above and beyond. Fantastic food and first class service. Thank you
A dog-friendly pub garden with plenty of space! Its outdoor space is stunning and well-kept, with breakout areas that never feel cramped! The interior has a lovely décor. The staff is friendly, and the food is super tasty. Prices are average for food and drinks! I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice space to enjoy the sunny weather and a good meal while catching up with friends.
Really nice and quiet pub. Visited on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. Food is good - had cottages pie and butternut squash bake - both were delicious. Great customer service.
Toilets are clean and big with baby changing facilities. They have some board games to play if interested. Good little garden for outside sitting.
Overall had a really good time and would love to visit again.
Inextricably humble. This locals pub in the heart of Ryarsh is firstly a historic monument. It celebrated the quirks of bygone era architecture. Low beams, large open fires, comfortable seating in the bar area and a capacious area for the restaurant. The seating area outside looked the part, unfortunately it was too dark in the late evening to make use of.
This is good old fashioned English pub service and locally sourced homemade food. It’s hearty, fresh and considerately prepared. The ribs, a recommendation by the bar staff, was immense in size. The meat, covered in a good dollop of sauce, fell off the bone and consumed without cutlery. The side of chips and salad, freshly prepared, complementing beautifully. The light and fruity Eton Mess dessert raised a smile. Fluffy and delicate.
I’m happy that The Nevill Bull just up the road was shut. The Duke of Wellington is a gem.
Good range of draught beers, food and service excellent. Would have been nicer if the restaurant area had been warmer. Service in the normal bar area was sporadic.
Can not thank staff enough. Last minute stop and find due to M20 closure and awful traffic jams took a break here. Would highly recommend. Thank you, guys, for great service. The children loved the takeaway and helped to ensure there were no hangry passengers on the way home.
Beautiful pub, beautiful location and beautiful garden. One of our absolute favorites. Dog friendly, excellent seating inside and out and wonderful food. Highly recommend.
Lovely little village pub! Food is really good, staff friendly, decor really pretty, proper country pub. Highly recommend.
Had a meal here, Baked camembert was absolutely delicious and the ribs too!! Lovely cocktails!!
The food was wonderful. The restaurant area wasn't the warmest. I was OK but our friend wasn't warm at all. Drinks lovely. Toilets were extremely clean. Restaurant looked beautiful for Christmas. Friendly helpful very nice staff, think it was family run. Would recommend, and would really live to go back. Easy parking, too.
A pleasant Sunday lunch, nice open fire, good roast and service.

Great food lovely staff all round Nice friendly pub
This was our first visit to this pub and it came highly recommended. The atmosphere and staff were spot on. Its a very welcoming place to eat and drink. Our meal was great and we had no complaints. My only disappointment was the lack of gluten free options as in none on the menu for starters or dessert . My
husband is the ceoliac and refuses to to ask any chef to alter their menu as he appreciates all the hard work that goes onto planning and cooking etc. It would just be nice if just afew adjustments could be made to accommodate being ceoliac that nobody would notice any difference in the quality and taste. If there were more options available my rating would easily be 5 star
Excellent evening out, great food in a lovely traditional country pub.
Food was pretty average, but service was good. The carbonara was very oily
Great food, lovely people, characterful location. Would highly recommend.
Had amazing Tapas here and the rest of the menu all looks good beers are very well kept and they have guest beers an old Kentish Pub of the beaten track well worth a visit I shall be back.
Had a great meal staff wonderful only thing I didn’t like was the chips but then I only like homemade chips great place thank you
