Fantastic pub, great food and you can even buy a meal for a £1 for your dog, they even served it in his own dog bowl, he really loved his doggie sausages and free dog biscuits on the bar, definately recommend this place

This is the place to stay when you have a dog(s). Dogs stay for free! It atmosphere is one of relaxation and it is a great place for dog owners to meet and talk about the walks they have done or going to do. The Inn is clean and the staff are very friendly, everyone is totally at ease with dogs. The food is good too, a good selection and if you are on a special diet it is informal enough to discuss your requirements with the Chef. Definitely a place that needs to be supported by dog owners.

Just had the most romantic and delicious stay at this gorgeous pub for our third wedding anniversary. The fish and chips were sublime, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Can fault it and will definitely be back x

Have just arrived home from a 2 night break at this beautiful and newly refurbished pub. Everything about it was brilliant - excellent service and friendliness of staff, the quality of the food, the gorgeous room we stayed in (Dungey Head). Considering they opened just under a week ago, have not yet got their full complement of staff and a full house for the hotel rooms, they coped superbly with the busy trade they’ve had because it’s Easter. We highly recommend David and his team. Look forward to coming back. Thank you! x

Have just stayed for 2 nights at the Castle Inn, We were warmly welcomed by David and his lovely team. The pub has been sympathetically refurbished to a very high standard, the food is very good and the rooms very comfortable. We took our little dog with us and stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms where everything was supplied for her, dog bed, towel and food bowls. We will definitely recommend the Castle to friends and relatives and will be back to stay again soon.

Spent a lovely evening drinking and eating. Great food in a beautiful part of the country. Reasonable prices. If using the pub car park across the road, register your car details with the pub or you’ll receive a fine. Ours was sorted with the lovely Pub staff after a quick phone call . Didn’t see the sign!

Quite honestly the best pub I've been to in decades. Came with my family and my mum. The team here were exceptionally kind and accommodating as one of my daughters is autistic and asked for separate food. This would have been outstanding alone but then the food came out. Quite simply superb. Mussels the size and taste of which we have never seen before and soup and toastie to die for. The best people, the best food, the best location. We are making plans to come back.

Sunday roast over a good walk. Great service (we arrived earlier than anticipated and they found us a table even though they were busy.) Delicious food. Lovely beer. Great with our 2 children. Thank you for a lovely visit! (can’t really comment on the rooms - but the whole pub and outside area was excellent so assume the rooms are the same.)

We spent three nights in stormy West Lulworth, Dorset staying at The Castle Inn, despite the weather the location is amazing with so many natural and man-made creations to wonder at. The Castle Inn was a fantastic base, the rooms were well equipped and very comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The food is excellent. We highly recommend, and will be back soon.

My wife and I booked a table for Saturday night supper. We had Really enjoyable evening. The waitress was very polite and cheery and the food was delicious. We had 3 courses and each course was 10/10. The smoked haddock starter was an 11. Will definitely be returning. Fantastic pub and team. Thanks

Surprisingly great visit to this pub and inn. The room we stayed in was beautifully presented, with countless small extras that were appreciated. The breakfast that came with the room was 10/10 in the morning too. And then it's a beautiful pub, with a great menu and high quality food/ ingredients. We ate at one other place in Lulworth that didn't even come close, so I strongly imagine this is the superior choice in the area by some way. And definitely worth the extra 10minute walk from the options closer to the beach.

We stayed in a B&B just up the road from The Castle Inn this week, and visited a couple of times for drinks, and once for dinner. The weather was lovely, so we sat outside on the bench tables, taking in the lovely surroundings. The Butcombe Gold beer was perfect on a warm September day and the food was good quality - we had a pizza and a burger. A very pleasant village pub, although note that it gets quite busy, so best to book in advance if you want a table inside. Recommended.

We stayed for a wedding but what a pleasant surprise. Our room was adjacent(room 12) and had plenty space, nice bathroom, even an little court yard. I was happily surprised by the mini bar a the fan in the room which are not normally found in English hotels The staff were lovely. We were running late in traffic and called to see if we could squeeze finner before kitchen closing and they were very accommodating. It has its own car park and it is walkable to the sea side. About 15 min I would say Lulworth was beautiful and now I cant wait to go back

We were on a long weekend in West Lulworth and we stopped by for something to eat. I am by nature a critical foodie. The Chef's Special, Garlic & Chilli Prawns in toasted sourdough was perfect. The portion was just right and the sauce just melted in your mouth. Great atmosphere will definitely come here again even though its 300 miles away. Would recommend.

Great location, smart, clean accommodation, good beer, great wine choice and good food. But the thing that really makes The Castle is the attitude of the people working there. From the friendly but efficient check in to the check out, all the people there are just so good!

While we didn’t stay here, we visited the restaurant and ordered soup and broccoli for starters along with the flat iron grilled chicken and fish & chips for mains. Not only was the service impeccable, the food was divine and flavorful. I especially recommend ordering the broccoli in sherry wine for starters. Cheers to all the friendly staff at The Castle Inn 🍻

We are return guests of the Castle, entirely due to the exceptional hospitality, delicious food and wonderful team. The location isn’t bad either! A real gem of a place run with genuine brilliance and a complete understanding and appreciation of the needs of the guests (and non guests). A masterclass in pub and hotel craft. Unsurprisingly we will be visiting again!

Four of us had dinner at the Castle Inn, all of our meals were very good. The Barnsley chop was perfect and the Strawberries and cream excellent. Overall reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The local beer went down well. We were well looked after by Jo and hope to return this week whilst staying nearby.

After a long days hike from Kingston to Lulworth, we had an incredible meal at The Castle Inn - can thoroughly recommend the Portobello and oyster mushroom ragu!. Bar staff were very welcoming as were all the restaurant staff. If you fancy a great meal in a real character pub with a good selection of beers and ales, I would thoroughly recommend you visit.

Perfectly located, with wonderful staff, beautiful rooms and delicious breakfast! Lulworth Cove is 10 minutes away, and Poole is only half hour away. The bed was very comfortable, no noise heard through the night and nice little touches in the room as well. The staff are great fun, very friendly and can have a good laugh! If you’re not staying, the pub and restaurant is great
