Amazing service, food and drink, fitted French cuisine perfectly + sea food options which fits the coastal town of West Kirby. Overall new best restaurant for me in the country, outstanding presentation, excellent kitchen hygiene. Definitely deserves 5 stars with the meal we chose + drinks were only £23.80 for this beautiful meal. The best in West Kirby for sure.

We went for a day out today to beautiful West Kirby, we planned to try a restaurant knowing that it could have been difficult to get a table because of the jubilee weekend. Well, we left that to our faith…We had a coffee near the station and then move on to the street full of local shops and explore what they had on offer, there are a couple of shops with amazing garden furniture, decorations, mirrors, and unique designs. Anyway, we came across this place, their big windows and the name “Mon Ami” caught our attention, as we started to get closer we immediately noticed that it was a gem: • Top-quality linen table cloths and napkins • Top-quality glasses and cutlery on the table The menu was very attractive and interesting. We thought, we are sure it is booking only, but let’s ask. I opened the door and a wonderful lady, Sharon, with a lovely smile, greeted us and said you will be ok if you come before 4:30 pm, because we are fully booked after. We went for a walk around the lake and then decided to return to this place, this time we were greeted by another lovely lady, Claire. The place was empty, we could pick up any table, we decided to seat down near the main corner so we will be able to see the main street. The wine list was extraordinary, great selection but we decided to have a local craft beer, very refreshing. We ordered our starter, they have many choices, but we decided to go for the French onion soup and the calamari. Both items were absolutely delicious, the soup had authentic gruyére cheese and some herbs. The calamari were deep fried but let me tell you they were nowhere near to any of those full of fat calamari you try somewhere else, they were perfect no fat at all and very crunchy! To give you an idea of how these ladies are well aware of providing top-class customer service, she noticed that my flatmate is left-handed she placed the spoon for the soup and the beer on his left side, hats off for noticing that minor detail, we have been to many places and never experienced that before! The main dishes were a great selection of deliciousness. We were undecided between the Salmon or the Duck, well, you could see our choice in the picture. It was cooked to perfection, the skin was so crispy, the meat was so tender and juicy, the cherry sauce and the cherries were very tasty, and the red cabbage was fresh and fantastic with anise seeds to give further flavour. The prices were extremely reasonable for such exquisite and great quality food. Please keep this level of quality and you will have lots of customers coming, that’s a fact, we wish the best for your business. We managed to thank your chef before we left West Kirby, well done! I would like to encourage everyone to try this gem in West Kirby. 10/10

Absolutely delicious meal once again! Came here for the first time in October and again today, and so happy it’s just as good. The beef Bourginion and sticky ginger toffee pudding was amazing, the meat falling apart, great wine, fab service, lovely interiors and atmosphere, we are quite fussy with roasts as my hubby cooks an amazing roast dinner! And got to say v impressed with the roast potatoes and gravy here! Well done Mon Ami, great addition to the area, we look forward to coming back to try more! :). Xxx

Delicious meal, Great service with friendly staff.

Amazing food! Really would recommend. Was there for Sunday lunch, the roasts looked great and I had the braised beef shin which was also lovely. I look forward to returning.

Food was excellent party of 6 people for a birthday very generous portions for starters and main course also desserts ,food was delicious along with the presentation,service was excellent,lovely decor ,only wish the birthday boy was there ,but too poorly to attend ,we celebrated for him ,definitely recommend this place

Attending a 60th Birthday, on a cold wet day the restaurant was warm, the staff friendly & inviting, the food was hot and plentiful and very tasty.

We have been a couple of times and had a super meal enjoyed by all 4 of us and I have to say the staff are a delight happy to spread the word we will be back soon thankyou so much for making such a lovely 3vening x
