Wow! Wonderful pub and restaurant. Saturday lunch with family. Food was utterly amazing. From the Dill Mussels, baked Halibut and finished with a mind blowing Raspberry Soufflés and coffee. Not a scrap left by 7 of us. Compliments to the chef. They deserve some stars. V nice wine selection as well.
Very good gastropub. Great food and great choices in wine. Love their burger and roast (potatoes could be crispier). But they need to offer more vegetarian options than just a deep fried courgette flower.
Lunch was absolutely fantastic at the Cat Inn, we made a booking in advance and were given a larger table as we had a baby with us which was very thoughtful. We didn’t have to put her car seat on the floor as we had expected.
Service was very quick, efficient and friendly, adding to the nice atmosp
Fantastic food and fantastic service.
We shared a few of the peach and tomato tarts which were incredible and a must order.
I had the pan fried cod as a main - the breaded mussels were special and the fish was great. Only thing I'd say is the sauce needed a touch more flavour for me.
For dessert I t
I strongly recommend The Cat. My wife and I stayed for one night in early November and are looking forward to returning at some time in the near future.
It’s a first class traditional inn, with good ales and open fires, and a busy food trade in a number of discrete dining areas that provide a surpri
One of the best pubs in the south of England, simply outstanding! I had the lamb & apricot pie which was cooked to perfection, along with the vegetables.
I was recommended the raspberry soufflé, which I order and was not disappointed. It was so light and delicious, just what you need after a big mea
A lovely lunch stop on a Friday! We happened to be passing and in need of a lunch stop and we were very glad that we discovered The Cat Inn. The service was excellent and we were made very welcome. Our dog was made a fuss of and given a bowl of water & dog treat. Our meals were delicious-the tasties
We had a lovely lunch at the Cat, the staff were welcoming and friendly, the service efficient and discreet and the food was excellent. We had the steak and mushroom pie (withvthe best chips I have had in years) and the cod which were both well presented and tasty - empty plates!
We came for a Sunday lunch and the food was lovely. The service was also really good and the staff very happy and friendly. It’s also dog friendly as we had ours with us. The place had a warm and welcoming vibe and was very nicely presented. Will visit again for sure.
Excellent everything. Service, customers (+ many doggos), ambiance, food! Can’t wait to come back to sit by the fire in winter. Great beers on draft and solid wine list.
