I recommend the Jam Roly Poly, I busted my diet for this and it was worth every bite. Home made with custard.....go there and have some, you won't be disappointed. I have no regrets.

AMAZING! So pleased that the QH is back open again and refurbished with a new menu. Very friendly staff, lovely ambience inside. Brandy pate: best pate I’ve had in years Duck rolls: very good and crispy Steak and chips: really juicy and flavoursome steak, large portion too! All the food had a lovely homemade feel. Can’t wait to go back and bring friends and family. Fish and chips: perfectly cooked.

Went to Queens Head on an impromptu visit. Very welcoming to us and the dog. Lovely atmosphere even though quiet as weekday lunch. We all had the 2 course special, portions were big, food was excellent. Jess, our server was attentive and friendly.

I can thoroughly recommend Queen's Head for its excellent ambience and the wonderful food. In particular the chateaubriand and the sticky toffee pudding were exceptional. The staff were friendly and engaging and very professional. We were even indulged with both custard and ice cream (delicious) served with the pudding. All in all a very enjoyable experience, well done to QH.

Excellent Sunday roast lunch. Between us we had lamb, pork, beef and chicken roasts. All delicious and huuuuge. Yorkshire puddings were slightly overdone hence why the 4 rather than 5 stars. And the fact that the background music was too loud. And a wafer with my ice-cream (delicious) would have been perfect. My nephew thoroughly enjoyed his sticky toffee pudding and custard. But very happy with the lunch and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

A delightful pub in a picturesque village. We stopped by for Sunday lunch, and found the service excellent, and the food mostly well cooked and presented. I had roast chicken which was delicious, I don't know what they did to the chicken skin but it was crisp and full of flavour. My husband had the chicken and leek pie with chips, which was also very good. This pub would have received five stars except that, unfortunately, it didn't pass my roast potato test! The potatoes were soft, insipid, and I suspect they were possibly re-heated. Such a shame, but it wouldn't put us off visiting the Queen's Head again.

Excellent food in a lovely little village setting. We went out for a family meal and everyone loved their food. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Wasn't the first time I've been and won't be the last and even seem to have a bigger menu from last time with more selection.

Wow, what a fantastic pub. Absolutely brilliant food, excellent service, lovely hospitable hosts and staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Slightly more than you would pay for however location and quality more than made up for this. Totally dog friendly. Will definitely return and recommend. Reading some previous reviews its obviously under new management and although we have never been before - well done to the turn around. The reason we chose to go there was from the reviews, so go for it, its all true.
