The Cod's Scallops Fine Fish & Chips certainly lives up to it's name. Great haddock, chips and mushy peas washed down with a lovely strong cup of tea. Friendly professional staff and a nice chilled atmosphere. Some of the finest I have tasted. 5 star.
Chips were amazing. Fish was very fresh and batter crispy. Did not experience any sogginess like others have suggested. The waiters were very friendly. We are in the restaurant, It is more expensive than a takeaway chippy, but I thought it was worth it.
Visited yesterday- had the lunch special for £10 which was reasonable. Overall it does seem a bit pricey here. The fish and chips were lovely. The tartare sauce isn't to my taste as its got lemon in. Takeaway ordered on Tuesday 31st October. There was a slight issue with the order but they did everything and more to put it right. So friendly and helpful and the food was excellent too. Thank you. We'll definitely order again. 🙂

Chips were slightly overdone and not up to the usual standard of other branches. Fish was very tasty though (I had the grilled cod) and battered sausage was nice.

Tasty food, friendly and welcoming staff, clean place and reasonably priced lunch menu deal (£10). Five stars
Recently moved to the area so came here as a post-move reward on a Monday. They still had a summertime lunch deal of large haddock and chips for £8.50 which was quite frankly a steal. The curry sauce so much more than what you'd get from a typical chippy. Locally brewed beer specific to the chain wa
