I visited Portello for a relaxed evening meal with the children. We tried all of the homemade juices, and every one was delicious. There is a reading area, a notice board for local events, a dog friendly snack and drink station, and best of all, a pay it forward coffee / hot chocolate initiative, which I really liked. There is a childrens colouring in sheet which was one sided - my daughter pointed out they were wasting paper 🙈 The bar service took a while, but when I switched to the app, the drinks came much quicker. The portion sizes appeared small at first, but we couldn't finish any of our plates, so maybe they could plate the food differently to avoid the initial disappointment. Overall, the food was nice, we left satisifed and happy.

I visited Portello Lounge a few years ago for food (as a teen) with family, and I was very impressed by the food and service back then. A few years later, we thought we would go again when I was visiting but this time for cocktails (now that I am that age 😉). Coming from a small town, I was amazed by 1. The Variety of cocktails they had and 2. The Prices (so much cheaper than what I am used to). Even though it was very busy on a Saturday Night (and after the Nott Forest/Man City game) service was very quick and staff were extremely friendly. I had three cocktails in the end, and they were all delicious. The restaurant and bar is really spacious, and the decor is really cool/retro (really up my street). I will definitely be coming back when visiting Nottingham again.

It is one of the few places that has a decent Gluten free menu. The staff were lovely. Food was gorgeous. If I have one criticism the music was a little loud. Not too loud but everyone had to talk louder. Didn't really notice until we got outside though.

Lovely location, with good brunch options, and lots of gluten free choices too. The GF shakshuka was really good, alongside a nice ice coffee.

Great bar in the middle of West Bridgeford with a good varied menu. We shared tapas and though they were very good, I would like to have seen more options, like chicken skewers. A very modern but quirky place with old framed pictures everywhere. Service is always quick and with a friendly face. Friends recommended the fish finger sandwich and buttermilk chicken.

Great atmosphere especially the outdoor seating. Quick and friendly service. Easy to order food from the table. Good vegetarian options. Nice presentation of the food and good taste. Had to ask a couple of times for the previous customers’ used glasses to be taken away. At least one of the breakfast was cold.

Tapas - Salt & Pepper Squid - Korean Fried Chicken Wings - Cheddar & Sweetcorn Fritters Mains - Buttermilk Fried Chicken - Chipat Mayo - Fries Drinks - Pink Lemonade - Watermelon Ice Tea ⭐️ Overall experience ⭐️ Staffs were so friendly and explained their self-order service via QR code or can simply order at counter. We scanned the QR code and it was easy to use. Food and drink were served quickly. Tapas are good for sharing as we can try various dishes. Cheddar & Sweetcorn Fritters are sweet and sour which is appetising. Last but not least, I was surprised by the watermelon ice tea. I thought it would be very sweet, but it tasted so fresh and reminded me of a childhood memory - Jelly... I enjoyed it very much. I will definitely choose the same drink when I return to this restaurant.

Second time at Portello Lounge. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. Three of us went for dinner on a Saturday. The service was quick, and everyone was polite. The food was very tasty, and the portion sizes were great! We all had different starters, mains, and puddings. No complaints about anything. Will be back!

Visited Portello lounge with my friends and I cannot fault the service, particularly as both of my mates both have allergies. Sam took care of us, took note of the allergies, was patient and delivered decent food that made us all smile. We had several plates of tapas, mac n cheese, and a really good churro. It makes a difference someone actually cares about the service and the experience that is had. Well done Sam and team, we appreciate you and will be back.

Ate here on granddaughter birthday and had her recommended Lounge Bacon Cheeseburger. Pass that recommendation to you dear reader. Bar restaurant had good choices of food and drink at reasonable prices. Limited outside area for those sunny days and evenings. Service quick and very friendly.
