The Poppy and Pint is an excellent bar with a great selection of food and beers. The bar is large and spacious with outdoor area with seating. It also has a function room upstairs. Bar staff are friendly. It is really nice bar to visit for a drink and a catch up with friends.

The staff are quite wonderful, and the draft is great. We had the Elsie Mo. Peaceful, yet chirpy atmosphere. Toilets are always clean, even the Gents! Well done!
Pub meals are as good as a pub typically gets. The fish is fresh, and there are various vegetarian and vegan options.

First visit here today and highly recommend. Staff were friendly and chatty, food was brilliant. Portion sizes were very good, and quality of food was tasty as well. Will definitely be back.
After a wonderful morning, walking & talking with a friend in lovely autumn weather along the Embankment in Nottingham, we ended at the Poppy and Pint in Lady Bay for well-deserved refreshments.
They offer coffee or tea, and cake for just £4.95, with a wide selection of cakes.

If you get the opportunity to come to this hidden gem, you must try the cakes, they are lush. I haven't had the opportunity to eat here yet but I will the next time I go. As the entertainment, the pub quiz on Tuesday nights are really entertaining. They have a massive range of craft ales and beers.
Smashing dinner. Can recommend the fish &chips, the Thai fishcakes and chilli cheese.

Very family friendly which can be frustrating if you don't have kids.
Used this place as an oasis on our Saturday afternoon ramble from Holme Pierrepont. Had a pint and a half of Preservation, as it was so good, and a packet of incredible pork scratchings ( see photo )
I hope to return in the near future , especially as the staff are so helpful and friendly.
Fantastic community hub. The main bar area is traditional. Staff are always friendly. Food good value and quality. Excellent range of beers and drinks generally.
This is a lovely pub with a great selection of beers & ciders. Service was good and there was plenty of space to sit and eat - call ahead to reserve a table.
Great pub, I frequently visit for the good food and beers. They always have great specials available and a good sunday roast. Nice relaxed and cool bar. Dog friendly.

Lovely.... Took my mom out for her 82nd Birthday. There were eight of us in total & we all had Sunday Lunch along with various starters, wine, beer & soft drinks. Great Castle Rock pub, friendly staff good but pricey food and tha usual great Castle Rock craft ales.
We stopped for lunch and we're delighted with the welcome and food. The lady who took our order was really friendly. The food came quickly and it was really tasty. There were loads of vegetarian and vegan choices and the food was freshly cooked. We'd definitely drop in again if we are passing. Heart
