Good food, very hot, nicely cooked. Black pudding stack starter was very nice with peppercorn sauce - on the salty said, good for me but worth knowing. Rump steak surf and turf - requested rare, cooked as asked for. Could do with seasoning, not as flavourful a cut, would benefit from the optional

Fantastic Pub serving genuine home cooked food. The menu has so much choice and everything we've eaten up to now has been perfect. Very tasty and good size portions. 3 course set meal is great value. Sunday lunch was really nice, it was busy but didn't have to wait too long for a table. Only thing that couldn't really be helped was we were close to another table with an older couple in and we heard every bit of their conversation and they were a bit loud. Wow is all I can say. We went for lunch and it was busy but we were sat quickly by very friendly staff. The meals are massive and very tasty. The veg was fresh and had a lovely crunch to it still the meat was tender and the gravy wash lush. Even had a pudding

Never been for years, thought we would pop in for lunch. Staff were great, sorted a table, drinks and food order taken quickly. Lunch was delicious, definitely will return.

There were four of us. We had the three course Dinner. The food was plentiful and very tasty, well cooked and delicious.
