I would highly recommend this pub which is now under new management. The overall impression is excellent, from the parking areas, one of which has at least 4 electric car charging bays to the horse sculpture at the front.
Internally the place is spacious with a modern interior, and is immaculately clean.
Although we didn't dine here the menu was excellent and we will return here to eat, my husband wants to try the tomahawk steak which comes with 3 side dishes and a bottle of house wine.
Excellent food at reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and helpful. We had a really good meal. It feels a bit harsh not giving 5*, but...
For me the ambiance isn't quite right for the location. We came expecting a proper cosy, friendly, quirky local pub, and it's just all a bit too suave with expensive drinks, as if it were on a chic high street. I'd rather it were a bit more down to earth, a bit more characterful.
It is really good, just could be better!
We came over from northern ireland to visit family, so decided to book in for a meal on Thursday past, They had on an open mic night that night, (very entertaining) well I can't say enough to praise them, Absolutely stunning building inside and out! 😍 The staff were genuinely friendly and the manageress was a lovely lady, and the food!! It was delicious, very flavourful, haven't had such a beautiful meal in a long time, we will definitely return A*
Staff very friendly and welcoming! The little extra touches such as water on the table and a colouring competition for the children make all the difference.
The best fish & chips we've had in a long time. We will definitely go back.
What a fantastic find...We went in to have a drink on Friday night and book a table for Saturday a great band playing (Drifting Back)
Food was excellent on Saturday so booked again for Sunday again the food was great and live music again.
The staff are so friendly and can not do enough for you..The manager Mandy was so accommodating and she bent over backwards to look after us. such a lovely lady..
Will definitely be back next time we are back in Northumberland.
Dog friendly and real fire is a bonus
Interesting pub... Remote, a lot of trouble has been put into the decor, it looks and feels good. Comfortable seating. Nice interior. Separate spaces where you can find privacy, otherwise there are high ceilings and plenty space to spread out in
Amazing Sunday roast, best we’ve had in a long while. Tender meat, tasty veg and fab Yorkshire pudding. And they had a dog menu too!! Service was efficient and friendly. We’ll be back and will recommend xx
Fantastic food, friendly staff and nice modern fresh decor inside and out. A special mention to the general manager who went above and beyond when we got stuck and couldn't get a taxi. She did a double round trip to get us back to our campsite safely with kids.
Food, staff, welcome and service 5 🌟
We will be back.
Great restaurant, we had a lovely evening meal. The children's menu is great and different from the normal nuggets and chips in most places. Great value for money and breath taking views. Great staff who were happy to help out. Definitely worth a visit for a great meal.
Went for a meal while driving back from Holy Island - found this place because it had good reviews on Google, and it didn't disappoint. Good food, in a nice, large outdoor beer garden (didn't hurt that it was blazing sunshine). Generous portions. Prices reasonable, if definitely in the 'gastropub' price range.
Cycled here from Raglan Caravan park approximately 2 miles away and mostly flat. No cycle rack but able to park bikes safely on the terrace. Staff friendly and very helpful. Food looked good although we didn't eat. Only just reopened after refurbishment so visit before it gets too well known.
4 motorhome pitches available. Looks as if they have electric but don't know the cost per pitch.
Wow! Truly blown away by this place. Rarely write reviews but had to come on and do this. Fantastic location, wonderfully warm and genuine reception, and the food was outstanding. Fresh, well cooked and beautifully presented. I can't wait to go back and try something else. Highly recommend a visit. The atmosphere and decor is a talking point, and the owners are locals with a passion to make sure everything is just right.
Great play area although could be more conveniently located so parents can watch over their children. Lovely patio area. Soup was amazing but unfortunately other food we tried was not as good... service was excellent!!
Delicious food. Partner said the steak was the best she had ever had, whilst daughter said the same about the sticky toffee pudding. Decor was interesting and very high quality, and staff helpful and friendly. A little off the beaten track but well worth the effort.
Stopped by for a quick lunch on the way home from Berwick. I had the tuna melt with soup of the day. The tuna melt was lovely and the bread was really good quality, my only niggle was that there wasn't much cheese in it at all. The soup of the day was a rich, chunky tomato soup - just wish the portion size was a bigger!
