Popped in today for lunch and had a all day breakfast with veggie sausages and it was excellent! My mum had a breakfast wrap which she loved. The two lady's that served us were very friendly and welcoming.
A super place to stop for a cup of coffee and cooked breakfast ,staff are always very friendly and obliging. Would always recommend to friends and family travelling South on the A1 past the M62 a must place to stop of after a long drive.
Back into the 80's and lovely North of England service and food quality very good.

We stopped here on our way back to Kent from the Lake District. Very friendly service with reasonable prices. We both had the breakfast omlette, which was very tasty and well cooked. The whole place was spotless and the two ladies working there were very welcoming
Great value for money spot. Good coffee, clean toilets and all the good fried stuff and British transport basics you could want. Avoid the Bull$][|π of the motorway services scrum and get a table and table service here. Recommended.

Great stop for a journey break. Food always fresh hot and tasty. Toilets kept in good clean condition. the childrens small play area was very much appreciated by a 3 yr old. Shame it cannot be accessed when travelling north.

What a change from Weatherby services we used going north. What a change from most other 'chain' services.
This is the southbound cafe at Barnsdale Bar on the A1. Recommended.
Only stopped off for a coffee break and loo stop but great coffee, friendly staff and lots of wooden ornaments etc to buy. I managed to get a lovely flying owl for a birthday present. Would recommend.
Rated 5 star mainly as the red roof remains! Such a lovely memory from our journies up and down the A1 50 years ago for many years! Iconic childhood memory of our half way stop. Thank you and long may you remain serving customers.
This cafe doesn't look all that good but when you go into the cafe. it's very welcoming. Food was nice very big meals and staff really helpful.
What a little gem this place is, have driven past so many times as was never sure it was open. Put petrol in and thought we’d try the door and so glad we did, freshly cooked food and such a lovely waitress, will definitely be back x
I stopped by for my break. Had The Ultimate Breakfast. Couldn't fault it. Excellent food, smashing service, clean toilets. Will be in there more often now.
As a greasy spoon truck stop, you can't fault the value and food. You won't get artisan fine dining served on a slate, but you will get decent, honest grub
