Fantastic traditional pub food it was 'scrape your plate clean' good. Good beer and friendly staff. What more would you want? Well, apart from a fabulous pudding!

Very welcoming Bob and Kate are the owners, and they're lovely. Whilst I was there I got to meet some of the locals who were really friendly and welcoming. The area locally is super peaceful, and rural. Food great, beer even better

We had a lovely spontaneous lunch here yesterday. It was a snowy cold day and the Sunday roast was a lovely treat. Portion size was wonderful, so well cooked and tasty. We had pudding too, great friendly service and value for money. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Wow what a treat for an engagement party dinner. A proper authentic Devonshire pub with a lovely landlord and landlady to make the evening a special one. Plenty of room, clean and tidy interior and exterior with a warm and cosy atmosphere we loved. Food was carefully and thoughtfully presented and delicious, we opted for a full three course meal and they exceeded our expectations. A special mention must go to the landlady’s puddings, homemade and indulgently delicious although we thought we couldn’t possibly eat anymore with the generous portions. The cherry on my engagement cake was the local band that rocked up to play an assortment of instruments including the bones, the penny whistle amongst others, there was even a piano to play if you were up for it. An experience money can’t buy found in the middle of the rolling hills of Devon.. thanks for making my night a special one 😃

Found this place after a quick Google search of Sunday roasts near me whilst on a camping trip with my wife and dog. Old traditional pub that didn't disappoint. Myself and wife both had roast beef and it was absolutely delicious with the vegetables served in a side bowl. Perfect size and we both felt content after we finished the meal. Rather full we contemplated desert and after seeing the table next to us deserts we decided to make room and so glad we did. We both had home made strawberry cheesecake and it was absolutely amazing. Couple of beers for me and a glass of wine for my wife to wash it all down with and all at a very reasonable price. Would 100% recommend 👌

Excellent. Even had some locals jamming away country style. Didn't eat but looked good. Great choice of local Ales and very affordable. Definitely a return visit required

The land lady was very friendly and happened to be from where we live. The food was simple, honest, hearty food at a reasonable price. We were blessed to be in there on a day that a local folk band were in practicing and they were a fabulous addition to our evening.

Friendly owners and good local beer. Reasonable Sunday roast, with a good selection of veg served in separate dishes. Rather stingy portion of roast potatoes (3 small ones per person) spoilt the meal for me.

Stumbled across this lovely quirky homely pub whilst in the area, only popped in for a snack but ended up have 2 course meal. Food was fresh and just delicious, healthy sized portions too you wouldn't leave hungry. Staff very welcoming. Would certainly recommend and we will definitely be back

We popped into the pub on Saturday to be greeted by very friendly staff, a lovely selection of food on offer and some nice ales. We ordered the home made Lasagne and my daughter had a vegan dish and they were all delicious. If you are looking for a traditional pub, with great food and atmosphere, I would recommend the Lymington Arms.

What a find!! We came down from Barnstaple for a celebration of my wife finishing her job!! So glad we did. Lovely food, friendly staff, what else could you want from a pub. I was on alcohol free beer but the real ale selection looked good to me!! We’ll certainly be back again!!

A traditional pleasant rural Devon pub. Family visited three times over the 'Eat Out to Help Out' period and the experience was consistently good. Food is traditional, cooked to order ( fabulous steaks, lamb shank and lasagne) and desserts are home made, even the meringue. Good Devon ale too, which for me puts the cherry on the cake.

Had Sunday lunch here today. It was delicious, real home cooked food. Kate and Bob the owners are warm and welcoming and cannot do enough for the customers. Can't praise it highly enough. Give it a go . You won't be disappointed.

We stayed overnight in our motorhome as part of the Britstop scheme. Food was lovely, service was friendly and there was live music in the bar! A lovely way to spend the evening. We parked in their car park overnight which was quiet and felt safe. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious food. Probably the best pub curry I've ever eaten. Wonderful service and live entertainment. Beer was fab too. Kids thought their burgers were really good as well.
