Beautiful venue. Attended a wedding and it all went lovely and smoothly. Staff were really nice. Price of rooms is extremely expensive which feels a little sneaky. Our room had dead bugs in the corners of all window seals for the price we paid I was really disappointed. However, we reported this to reception and they were really apologetic and got the room cleaned again which solved it. Overall a really beautiful place and good service.

If your headed to Plymouth and want to feel and be feted like country gentry then this is the place. Of the 3 weeks we spent touring England Langdon Court tied for our most memorable and enchanting. Yes, it is a lovely well preserved antique, so big city amenities are not the focus. However the service and staff are wonderful. The rooms, bath and beds most comfortable. The breakfast choices are suitable to a wide range of tastes whether you are from abroad or prefer British fare. Only the evening menu was not to our taste, but they do have an excellent wine list and charming elegant bar. If you are looking for perfect romance or a quite weekend retreat I highly recommend heading for Langdon Court in Down Thomas, and a day of shopping in Plymouth.

We love staying here. The staff make you so welcome and the bedrooms we have stayed in this time and last year were lovely. Always a good evening meal. Many thanks to Sonia, Bradley and the rest of the staff for making our short break so nice.

This place is fantastic and full of history. I had my wedding reception here in 2002 and have been returning for meals ever since. The food is fantastic and is very reasonable. A lovely place to relax outside on a nice summer's day. You can stay over as well

My partner and I stayed at this hotel as part of a groupon voucher from a Christmas present to see a concert in Plymouth pavilion, As a young couple it is easy to feel uncomfortable in such a high class establishment; however the staff were thoroughly professional, exceptionally friendly and always had a smile on their faces. Though the food is pricey, the breakfast *including the service* was entirely worth it. Extremely clean rooms with all amenities and for once, as my partner pointed out, finally a hotel that gives you a sufficient amount of milk and sugar with the room's complimentary tea! Despite the weather, the views were stunning and being able to come back late and watch the stars over the beautiful hillside was the cherry on the cake for this small getaway. Though this hotel was born to suit weddings and other ceremonies; a small nights getaway here was equally amazing. Getting in and out of Plymouth centre isn't a massive issue even if you're without a car as long as you have 10 quid per taxi and are happy to ask the reception to call a cab for you (signal is awful but it is the countryside so you can't have it all) and it's actually only 20 minutes away. Overall, a serene, peaceful, professional hotel with exceptional personnel. Would recommend to anyone; thanks again!

This hotel is in a tranquil location. Being quite remote I couldn't get a signal on my Virgin mobile, but for one night that didn't really matter as there was free wifi available in the hotel. The beef was superbly cooked and the restaurant and bar service were both excellent. I like the fact that this is a historic and formal venue but the staff are relaxed and friendly. The room was very spacious and very comfortable.

It's beautiful! The scent of lillies filled the air as we moved through the elegant hallways admiring the intricate stained glass windows. The bedroom suite was very spacious and attractive with a four poster bed as the main feature.

Spent the evening here for a wedding. Sadly didnt stay the night but the rooms looked great. BBQ tasted fantastic and the meat and burgers were not skimpy but as you would expect them to be.

Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. The decor is a little tired in places, but the staff were friendly. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food.

Food is good but portions can be small. Price for Sunday roast is reasonable at £12.95 for 2 courses or £15.95 for 3. Also depending on time of the year, rooms can be cold even with a fire going.
