Great pub. Good grub. The largest tv screen I have ever viewed. " Football" as they call it never looked so good. Not at all as good as the NFL but never the less dynamite. You provided great food and hospitality. Thanks !

Visited for roast lunch recently and it was beautiful!!! Great portions, happy staff and appropriate prices! Everything was cooked perfectly and all the veg tasted so fresh! Felt like I was eating a home cooked roast! The bar staff were very friendly and happy to help with any questions! Can’t wait to try out more meals here soon! Thank you!

We visited the Odd Wheel for the first time on Friday evening and wow, what an absolute gem of a place. Extremely classy and from the moment we stepped into the establishment we were made to feel extremely welcome. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the environment was very clean and modern. A charming chap called Luke took our order, and throughout our stay he was just the perfect host. A very funny but professional guy and nothing was too much trouble for Luke and the staff around him. Moving onto the food it was easily by far the best meal I have ever had when eating out. I opted for the Pork Belly and it was divine! Cooked to perfection and it just fell apart when cutting through it. I'm salivating again writing this review! My partner ordered the Steak and Ale Pie with chips and vegetables and I had serious food envy! The portions were a generous size and were presented beautifully. After our meal we made our way into the bar area where we were entertained by a musician. The evening was just perfect, thank you to all the staff and management at the Odd Wheel, you have got everything right and I can't wait to return to try the Sunday Roast.

First time at the odd wheel and wow it did not fail to impress. The food was delicious, I had the steak and ale pie and my partner had the pork belly. We both commented on how it was one of the nicest meals we have ever had. The staff are extremely friendly, but a special mention to Luke Giles who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, nothing was ever too much trouble. After our food we waited until the live music started in the bar area, the atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend the odd wheel. The new management have definitely turned it around and you won’t be disappointed! Will be back again soon!

Probably one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly how I liked it. The chips were proper chips and even the mushrooms and tomatoes seemed extra good too. Thank you to Amy and Jess for their excellent service too.

We ate at the odd wheel on Friday for my father in laws 75th birthday. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the choice was excellent. Will have to come back to try some of the other dishes as we couldn’t decide and it all looked too. Staff were all great and the kids really enjoyed playing in the park too.

It's been several years since I last visited the Odd Wheel. New ownership, refurbishment, and a Wedding Anniversary to celebrate felt like an ideal moment to pop in. On entry the pub looks welcoming and modern, with a Bar area to catch up with friends (or dine) and a Restaurant to Dine in. Definitely feels like a lot of effort has gone into giving the pub a nice facelift. Staff welcomed us in and were suitably attentive throughout our time there. Came over when needed, checked we were happy and served us timely. Very busy for a Wednesday, which meant the atmosphere was good. Bar staff were friendly and good for a chat. Menu has a nice selection of food choice without being overwhelming. My wife and I had the Curry of the day (Red Thai), and it was beautifully cooked, had just the right amount of spice, in line with a Red Thai curry and the portion size was spot on. The children had a Burger Meal and Mac N Cheese, both thoroughly enjoyed them. After our meal we sat outside to have drinks, the children played in the play area for at least an hour and were very content. Nice being able to sit outside, with covers overhead as it drizzled with rain. Enjoyed ourselves a lot, and made a difference to our wedding anniversary where we would have normally stayed in on a Weekday with children in tow, this gave us the opportunity to get out of the house, have a lovely time whilst allowing the kids enough to occupy themselves. Looking forward to going back. I would take friends and family there, and recommend to others.

The food here was of the best quality, I had the best steak & ale pie ever, so tasty. Everyone on our table had a great meal, we had a few that were intolerant to different foods, this was taken on board, not an issue was made. A great night was had.

Booked in for lunch for my partners birthday with some friends. The place looked amazing and the staff were really welcoming. There was a nice play area outside for a toddler to play in, which helped keep him occupied whilst we ordered and waited for food. The food was lovely and was worth the money. As a party of 7 adults, we said we’d all recommend The Old Wheel to friends and family and we’d all go back again.

Since the new owners took charge in July 23 I’ve had several meals with friends and family at The Odd Wheel, and every one of them has been a quality experience. Great taste, well presented, good value and served by really nice people. There has been considerable investment in the decor, furniture (inside and out) to make it a pub that will draw clients locally but also from far and wide. I think the idea of making the bar a dog-friendly place where you can also have meals but exclude dogs from the restaurant is a suitable way to cater for everyone’s preferences. May the business thrive and prosper.

Had our Grandads wake here, was impressed by the buffet, the service and the selection of ale. They also mentioned anything we didn't finish would go to the salvation army and not get wasted 👍🏻

Had a coffee at the end of our walk. Pub has been refurbished and is clean, bright and full of Sunday lunchers. It smelt great. It's less pub than before (without sofas or bench seating), and perhaps that's a good thing. We sat comfortably at the bar for coffee where it was quiet. Next door was busy with diners. I'd definitely go to try a Sunday lunch and other food. Pleasant place to be after a beach walk too.
