Still the best pub in Wembley..... outstanding staff and good pint
Always had a great time there! A great stop off point for Footy and Gigs at Wembley. Good fool and ales!
Having lived in Wembley for a month I can safely say this was the best pub/establishment I visited in London. The staff, food, location and friendly atmosphere was 10/10. Not a bad word to say about the torch, enjoy
The food is fantastic for the price, drink is the same price as 'ooop North'
No complaints whatsoever
Although their 6 Chilli hot sauce could be hotter lol
Fantastic local pub. Wallled in off the cuff 8 of us, kids & adults Gorgeous food ! Delicious Sunday roast , Cpl big Tv for footie fans. 2 Pool tables and a large fabulous restaurant area. Extremely family friendly, and very reasonable prices. Will definitely be returning ! With or without the kids. Thank you to all the hard working friendly staff. X
Whether England are playing (Women's team included now) or a concert of some sort, Wembley Stadium has always got something going on. The Torch is a local pub that is located about 5 minutes from the closest tube and is always my number one stop before I visit the stadium.
This is a great meet up point for you and friends to have a pint before you move on to the stadium. The prices on game night are slightly high but what can you expect from the closest pub to the stadium? I'd rather pay for a pint here than when I am actually in the stadium. This place is always packed on game night and actually provides a great warm-up atmosphere for the stadium. Despite the wait for a drink, there are plenty of seating available inside and outside. Great for a summer's day.
I know a lot of my focus has been on game/event night at Wembley Stadium mainly because that's the only time I have visited. I would recommend this if you are in the Wembley area and in need of a quick stop at a local watering hole.
This place is great for some drinks and English food, staff were friendly and willing to help with a smile. The ambience was good to relax.
Great atmosphere at this family-friendly Greene King pub. There is a huge food offering with their 'grill menu, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. There is also a large variety of drinks. They have a student discount which is also helpful. A very short walk from Wembley Park Station so very convenient location. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great, with good music playing too. The only issue was the toilets. They needed cleaning and were flooded and dirty.
A great place to visit and has a great atmosphere and agreat end to a great day.. and a venue which we have visited after every NFL game.. a tradition we intend to continue with
The ambiance is cozy yet lively, striking the perfect balance between a relaxing hangout spot and an exciting place to have a good time. The dim lighting and tasteful decor added to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to unwind after a long day or a spot to let loose and have fun with friends, The Torch has got you covered.
The drink menu is extensive and impressive. They seem to have something for every palate, from classic cocktails to unique house specials. I decided to try their signature Torch Martini, and I was not disappointed. It was expertly crafted and delicious, a true testament to the skill of the bartenders.
The live music at The Torch added another layer of enjoyment to the evening. The talented band knew how to get the crowd moving and grooving, and it really elevated the overall experience. It's evident that the pub goes the extra mile to provide top-notch entertainment for its patrons.
One thing that struck me was the friendly and attentive staff. Despite the busy atmosphere, they made sure everyone felt taken care of and had a great time. The service was prompt and accommodating, which made my visit all the more enjoyable.
All in all, I can confidently recommend The Torch to anyone looking for a memorable night out. Whether you're a pub regular or someone just looking for a fun evening, The Torch's inviting ambiance, impressive drinks, and lively entertainment make it a must-visit spot in town.
Being a life long Wembley born resident, I’ve seen “The Torch” passed on from owner and management 3 times (that I know about). (FYI I’m 80s born)
What it is today I believe is what it set out to be from first establishment.
It caters for its regulars, locals, and old schoolers with the respect they deserve, it caters for the visitors that come with the events that Wembley hosts, and caters for them too with respect, good food, good service and good old fashioned pub like environment.
More so, worth a worthy mention, the staff although have changed somewhat, those staff that have stuck with it 5-8years+ have remained true and dedicated, and worthy of its stature.
It is they whom make it what it is today.
All due credit to Jake and the rest of the clan.
I can come as a noisy local hooligan, I can come as a family orientated customer, whatever I come, they handle me right, they provide service beyond measure, and they always put you first.
I have nothing but love for you.
Xxx
The Torch by Greene King
Plenty of drinks..
Cricket match outdoors
The food was priced perfectly for what you got. The food even though cost effective was not reflectove of the taste. My Sirloin steak was cooked to medium rare perfection and come with the usual suspects.
My partner had to give the Chick n Mix a go which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Over all a great experience and lively atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks.
Should you find yourself at wembley park station come out do a left and walk over the bridge until YOU get to the TORCH.
The Best burgers in Wembley!!
And every Thursday they have a flame grilled burger in double, you order 2 and pay one :)
Could be better. We decided to order via the app which was simple enough but there appears to be an issue with where the drink orders go to. The food came out promptly and we asked the server about our drinks, he said he’d check but soon forgot as he became busy serving food. As there were quite a few people coming in for the football I assumed the bar staff were also too busy to deliver the drinks. I went to the bar to collect but they had no knowledge of any drinks ordered, allegedly the drinks order went to the kitchen. We then found out that some of the drinks we ordered were out of stock as the manager forgot to update the system.
The food was ok but the chicken wings were disappointing as they were just quickly deep fried with some sauce drizzled over them rather than fully coated.
The other frustrating thing, especially as it’s a sports pub, was that nobody seemed to know which screen was showing which match, Arsenal v Man City & Borussia Dortmund v Chelsea, as the screen we sat near was advertising Chelsea v AC Milan from 2022!
People were unsure where to sit until after 19.30 when the Arsenal game started.
Hopefully next time we’re in there will be better leadership from the management.
we had a lovely dinner here, paid £2.20 parking using the PayByPhone app, show your receipt to staff and they will refund £2. the place is airy and clean, friendly and helpful staff, nice and modern feel, lots of outside seating, gammon skillet was nice. function room on site, you can play darts, 2 game machines, pool table. i won't hesitate bringing my guests here for a nice pub meal.
Well managed Pub. Went on the Halloween weekend.it was packed, so that was nice..!!
Table & till service, Good selection of drinks. Quick service to the tables Very reasonably priced & Good Parking Area.
Quite impressed with this place.
Staff Seems enjoying their Part of the Work,
recommended.! 🎊🎉
We visited this pub on Sunday for the first time, and it was clean, social distancing was observed the entrance of the pub is at the back and the exit is at the front. We booked our lunch before We came in, not much people around which I didn’t expect on a Sunday. The food was nice, waiting time was quick the staff are friendly and nice. They have tables and chairs at the front (if you prefer to be outdoors) parking is available at the back. The pub is just a 7mins walk from the wembley park station. And if you fancy to shop or watch movies London outlets is just a few minutes walk.
Weds-Fri are always hits with live music and open mic, and these generally are fun to attend. Meeting people of different views and outlooks. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility of staying there as guests in residence, It's a s peaceful and quiet as the cemetery behind it; LOL
Came on a non match day. Although it looks gotty outside is nice inside with very friendly/helpful staff. Cheap food with big portions. Has a function room and parking round the back. Has lots of happy regulars
Came for a bite to eat before a concert at Wembley Arena I was made to feel very welcome by the lady behind the bar, had a lovely chat and she was super helpful when I was asking for directions 😊 The food was lovely and great value and presented well 😁 If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely be back
The flame grilled beef burgers were nice ... good thing there was table salt on the table ... if the chef forgets to put salt add on your own ... hehe ...
The mix n match was really nice but the flame grilled chicken wasn't of our taste
Visited on a Saturday evening, had food and drinks. The bar was very busy, as expected for a Saturday evening, however we were able to get a table and enjoy our meal.
The staff were attentive and swift on delivering our food order and cleaning away finished plates. They were friendly too!
The food was tasty and came very promptly, great service.
Prices were reasonable as to be expected from a Green King chain.
Was a nice pub and one to return.
