We spent a fabulous evening cooking for North Indian Street Food dishes, which tasted divine. Our chef was kind, fun and informative, the staff were very helpful and professional. A great way to spend a team evening, and enjoy great food, learn new skills, and drink the odd glass or two of wine.

This is one of our favorite places. The bhajiyas and kenyan bhel are the main two items we come for. Eating there would be the best suggestion as you can enjoy a hot plate of crispy tasty bhajiyas. Take away will end up being soggy, especially now that they have introduced the whole bhajiyas in box takeaway. The staff are usually friendly but can get extremely messy if it starts to get busy as it does tend to get hectic. With the size of the shop and the amount of customers you could end up queuing outside. They have decided to bring the ordering technology which in my opinion hasn't worked out, sometimes if the old fashioned pen and paper order worked best to stick with it. Overall is a nice family restaurant with decent quality food. Would definitely recommend.

Visited this place as seen the reviews and also remembered it from childhood of being amazing place for crispy bhajia. Placed an order over the phone and collected a hot portion within 10mins. The flavour and ingredients were good and therefore also the taste. The chutneys that accompany the dish were very nice too. The portion is generation - but could have been much crispier to get 5stars for me! I would be happy to revisit.

Ok so I’ve read the recent reviews. It is pricey for a signature plate of bhajia if you eat in but the portion for take away is alot more! The food was good, crispy and tasty and I’ve eaten here (and taken away) afew times over the years…Service was fine.

Not sure why this place is getting such a bad rap. I’ve been going for years and since the change of owner I don’t see any change in the taste of their signature Maru Bhajia or chutneys. In fact we travel from Croydon to just have them! New owner is super pleasant every time we’ve seen him. We went there on Friday to pick up a takeaway and as we were the last customers of the day he gave us extra Bhajias and chutneys. Soo yummy! Love this place.

Undoubtedly the most famous bhajia dig in the country. Dating back well over 50 years and standing the test of time and taste, bhajias here are still some of the best you'll ever have, with decor to match. When a place this famed for one thing, don't order anything else. For comparison, it's like travelling to Napoli and having to eat pizza at Da Michele. Only Da Michele have just 4 items on their menu, and they're all pizza.

Best place in UK to have bhajia. Crisp in every bite . Only potato bhajia is given it will be great if it can be a combination of onion as well. Good thing is card accepted here.

Not the same under this management. Staff looking sad with no smiles. Not very welcoming and too offish with customers. Have to wait forever for service. The signature bhajia's are ok but lack something from the original quality of yesteryear! Bring back the Kenyan way! They could really do so much better! Most people come here because of the reputation built over decades and the link with East Africa. Plus after all the walking in and out of shops you're hungry so seems like a good deal! At £9.99 per portion of bhajia's seems quite expensive for what it actually is. Have some happy memories of many years ago at this place, but sadly not the same! At least smile at your customers and make them feel welcome! That way at least they may return!

Fantastic original Marus Bhajia with its famous Chutney. All vegetarian dishes are good but it's famous for its big portion of marus Bhajia. The food arrived quickly and was very warm a very generous portion. As they say you have tried the rest now try the original and best.

Delicious crispy deep fried potato bhajia's and tasty samosa chaat and aloo tikki. Best to eat in as it comes out nice and warm and tastes is better. Service is also quick and easy.
