Just Ales - Wells - Photo album

Great little micro pub in Wells, Somerset. Good range of Real Ale beers from the barrel, and good range of ciders. 10/10 a must visit if you like your real ales and ciders.
This a fabulous one off of a micro pub. Felt like one of the family from the moment I crossed the threshold. The locals and landlady immediately including me in their banter. The ale was excellent too. If you're in Wells then Just Ales is a must. Oh and they do cider too!
This is the best place ever and such a hidden gem in Somerset. While all the gastropubs in the country are becoming a copy of another and have nothing special about them, this micro pub is an iconic place. I went for the first time in March 2020 before lockdown and came back just now after it re-ope
We were treated like locals by Donna and had a great time. Sarah sold us some lovely scones which went down a treat for lunch next day and Donna insisted on finding us some butter too. This place is better than any tourist information bureau, we got lots of great tips. We'll definitely visit here wh
Lovely bright airy eating area and the food is a very high standard and excellent choices. Coffee you name it they have it include a large selection of great teas.

If you are a real ale lover in Wells, this is where you're looking for. Past few times there's been 2 excellent real ales on the go, not sure if they offer more but it's always a good selection. Usually fairly local. They do an excellently priced takeaway, 1 or two pints of ale or cider. No nonse
A unique experience. It's like no pub of this age, but in a good way! Good selection of beer and cider.
Quirky is an understatement! But that was part of the attraction and one reason why we made a return visit. Don't let the fly papers or the smell of damp dog put you off, just go in with an open mind and enjoy the banter from the "welcoming" landlady. The sweet 6.5% cider eases you into ignoring the
Visited a couple of times in a short stay in Somerset. Very welcoming and unique place, local feel and ale or cider is available when they have it which makes every visit different. Highly recommend a trip if you are in Wells.
Very odd place. We must have caught the landlady on a bad or a good day depending on your point of view. The level of acerbic sarcasm in her comments must surely have been ironic – anyway it had us in stitches. As others have commented – they certainly don’t subscribe to any modern fads about cle
Reminds me more of a French style bar rather than a pub but that is part of its charm. Mish mash of clutter on the inside with a bizzare service method where the staff potter off to the back to get your beer or cider. Little patio bit at the front for smokers or those wanting a bit of sun. Charming
My husband and I both love this little micro pub, moved to wells six months ago liked it straight away. Andy,Donna and oscar the dog are friendly and became good friends. Recommend to all.
Brilliant little place! The owner made us feel welcome and had some good banter! The ales are top notch!
