Lovely light spacious place with exhibitions on history of Wells' inhabitants from French conquest. Shows important kinds of employment with much fishing and shipping. More interest upstairs. Tourist information in same building with friendly, helpful staff. Attractive cards and postcards on sale. Very nice tearoom and bar there too offering delicious cakes.
Perfect little theatre space and a great pint of Wherry. A real credit to the community, close to the best fish and chips on the North Norfolk coast at French's and those fabulous, rentable beach huts, calm sands, a seal if you're lucky (we were!) and an abiding sense of restfulness. Marvellous for a moment, perfect for at least a week.
Lovely place with great walks and good play area for kids. Nice shops and food well worth a visit.
Nice atmosphere, lots if free interesting exhibitions..
Food was a bit slow, not many staff..
As chipy was queueing out thevdoor.
Excellent arts centre with very good cafe, theatre and exhibition / event spaces. Pleased to see there's an active 11-16 years group there too. The building looks great and is right in the centre of Wells.
I have just had one of my best “ ever” breakfasts. Delicious local eggs with chives creamy and I am sure I could taste the butter. Mushrooms and tomatoes that actually taste of tomatoes .. memories from my mums garden. Great coffee and a terrace to watch the world go by. Loved it. Thank you
First visit for food. Very impressed and there are a few tables outside on the front terrace which are dog friendly. You can take in the bustle of Staithe Street whilst having coffee & cake. Very good food and excellent service. Will certainly be back the next time we're in Wells.
Great service, lovely looking cakes and menu for vegans. Just nicely busy. Plenty of info about up and coming events. Good clean toilets. Places to sit outside.
For me, this is the best place to grab a coffee or light lunch. It is fresh, light and airy. Great being associated with the theatre too. Come rain or shine, rest your weary's and relax. The staff are great, treat you like friends and make you welcome. Nothing seems too much trouble.
Very good food & Drinks
Good atmosphere, very good tiolets. We went Carnaval week, so lot happening, weather didn't help, at times dreadful, but that is Britain's weather for you.
Only stopped for hot drinks, the service was friendly and fairly quick. The tables, both inside and outside, are a bit below street level so you see people's legs before any other part of their body. Definitely worth a stop off for a cuppa and slice of cake.
Keep booking Floyd in the Flesh and I will keep buying tickets. 4 out of 4 attended so far. Great venue.
Pheasant on a fence how pleasant is that he started on th the back fence then the side fence .you expect a sparrow blackbirds thrush or any other small bird I think he went to church first , and got a new lease of life but it was a pleasant pheasant smile. 😂😃😅' ' '
Not a lot of activity in Wells this january morning after a good walk along the beach.Pleased to say the welcome we got at the maltings was perfect. A nice glass of wine and gin in a relaxed setting was perfection. The staff were lovely and friendly. 👍
OK, so there was no art involved as we just popped in for tea n cake, great cuppa of Yorkshire tea and nice slice of cake, all served up with a smile, not the first time we've stopped for refreshments, and it won't be the last
Lovely place for lunch nice and warm.
Wells next the sea is a lovely place . Also congratulations to the Council for the best kept public tiolets I have ever seen .
