Platten's Fish And Chips - Wells-next-the-Sea - Photo album

I came here Saturday night this week quite late on with my young son. The lovely girl working there heard someone swear, told them not to swear in front of children and apologised on their behalf. Such a rarity these days for someone to acknowledge such a thing, it was much appreciated. Apart from t
Having tried both fish and chip restaurants in Wells over consecutive days, Plattens received our 'Best in Wells' award! We had generous, piping-hot, freshly-cooked servings of cod wrapped in wonderfully crisp batter with well-cooked chips and above average curry sauce. Great food, served on plates
After our awful experience in Cromer we had a fabulous lunch at Plattens. Mini fish and chips and curry sauce. Beautifully cooked white fish and chips. Great service and a lovely place to eat. Dog friendly too.
Food was timely served and great tasting but I thought the portion sizes were a little mean for the cost. Although the rest of our group seemed happy.
Really lovely fish ans chips, busy but friendly service and nice big portions.
Friendly welcome on arrival. Ordered Fish and chips which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I will definitely return and highly recommend. Its location is spot on and a must visit after a long walk to the beach.

It's been a few years since we've been here and it's had a spruce up which has really improved the place. I feel they'd had a really busy day when we arrived for a fish and chip tea. Service wasn't as bright and cheery as we've experienced in the past. It wasn't rude though, so I'm holding back and
