Very popular fish and chip shop along the front at Wells. Freshly cooked, generous portions, served in the usual polystyrene containers, whether you eat in or takeaway. Sauces cost extra and not many tables inside. Most people eat them sitting on the wall outside.

Great food, served fresh and hot. Would definitely recommend and return. Had fish and chips, plus scampi and chips. Went at 7pm on a Thursday and walked straight in and got served. At other times there may be queues especially in the summer. Fish was fresh with white meat and a crunchy crisp batter. Chips were fresh, flavoursome and quite dry, not soggy drenched with fat. Reasonably priced for portion sized, quality and location.

Best fish and chips in Norfolk! The fish is always cooked to order, so it’s hot and fresh, the batter isn’t too thick or sickly greasy, and the amount of meat is extremely generous for the price! Great place to pick up a meal and then sit by the sea. The shop can get rather busy, but the food is worth the long queue times! My only wish is that they’d start making their own tartare sauce, as it feels a bit sacrilegious eating such great fish with room temperature Heinz out of a squeeze packet!

Fantastic fish and chips with a beautiful view. Absolutely fine to eat in. Staff easy as chips. Why not add a cheeky pickle to your dish to elevate your experience. Thanks!

Very, very good fish and chips (and curry sauce!). I personally think they are the best in Wells. Light crisp batter on the freshly cooked fish (cod) which reminded soft and perfectly moist, and great chips with curry sauce to dip. Can't fault them. All the fish is cooked fresh. Can't comment iny the battered sausages etc but they were selling quite a few We ate at one if the tables in the front of the shop which were clean and tidy.

The best fish n chips on the Norfolk coast. This is a regular for us. We are happy to drive 80 miles because we know it's always 10/10! Be warned the regular can feed two. And during the summer weeks you can be queuing for 45 mins down the road. But it's worth it

A real spot on little venue serving quality food for a reasonable price. The food was superbly cooked and so pleased with the portion size. Seeing it has won numerous awards it is no wonder why. Voted in the top 20 of the best fish and chip shops it is definitely the plaice to visit.

Really lovely cod and chips with mushy peas, all freshly cooked and piping hot. Looking out over the harbour in the afternoon sun makes the experience perfect.

Top notch fish and chips! Chosen on first visit to area due to Google reviews - the reviews are correct, this is the place to come. Fish and chips as good as you will find anywhere in the UK. Fish was thick and juicy, with a light crisp batter; chips were excellent, portion sizes hit the spot! Would repeat visit when back in the area. Strongly recommended!

Always seems to be a massive queue here and for very good reason. If you do find yourself at the back of said collosal queue and contemplating going elsewhere, don't. The quality of food here is superb, easily up there with the best fish & chips i have ever had and certainly well worth the wait. I have a lot of respect for the staff here also, they don't dither or mess around and they regularly make easy work of very long queues with speed and efficiency. 👍

Perfect fish and chips, with a good helping of chips. A good selection on the menu and not over the top prices. The battered sausage was a good'un too. Pepsi not coke in the fridge for those who like to know that kind of stuff. Happy pleasent staff. Grab your food and sit by quayside.

A traditional and very popular fish and chips shop/restaurant that offers everything you could hope for in the traditional menu. Well cooked and well presented food from friendly and efficient staff. Clean and comfortable but fairly limited eat in facilities and the one way system through the premises is an indicator of the popularity and queues for service at peek holiday periods. Directly and conveniently located opposite the quayside car park. We eat here every time we visit Wells-next-the-Sea and look forward to getting next time!

Tasty and fresh fish and chips in a good location. We got food and ate it outside by the sea but you can eat indoors. Good value and portions, the fish was not overcooked or dried out and the chips were very crispy. I had a small cod and chips which was a very big portion.

There is always a queue as this is the best fish and chips. There are plenty of spaces to dit on the harbour wall to eat them. Do not leave wells next to sea without trying it. Great haddock and chips.

First time here and a great find. It was recently voted best fish and chips in the UK and rightly so. Crispy golden batter on the fish, I has scampi which consisted of several pieces, about 12 I believe. Wholetail of course and very tasty. The chips were well cooked and tasty too. A lucky find.
