It's a burger joint, so 5 stars is in that context.
But simply put, it's a bit more expensive because it's better.
Burgers are cooked to order. The chips are good. The whole thing is a level above the market leaders.
The Firecracker sauce is spicy and recommended. The special sauce is a ringer for Big Mac sauce.
You are looking to spend around £12 for a burger and chips with a cuppa but the extra is not unreasonable. I gave it the extra star for a full 5 because the toilets were extremely clean and pleasant.
The burger was lovely it was hot fresh forgot its better to have a chef do your food than like Mcdonald some youth who hates there job

What can I say, this was like a walk back in time, las used this Wimpy way back in 1979, was totally surprised that it was still there, same seating arrangement, newer seats. It was great, had our grandson with us, very friendly welcome upon arrival, very friendly service, meals were great, thanks for making us feel welcome, felt like home again. Grandson was impressed as he uses another well known rival. Memories....

My daughter and I haven't been in a wimpy restaurant for a very long time today we decided to treat ourselfs service was quick was greeted with smiles from the staff food was served quick hot and was delicious place has nice atmosphere and very clean
As we was enjoying our food a group of people came in we decovered they was from a residential home based in Abbey wood

Not been in here for years (about 30!). I took my kids today for a sense of nostalgia and I wasn't disappointed. It was sadly empty, which is a shame as the service was top notch and the food lovely. Both of my children declared it to be better than the place with the golden arches and asked to go again. We will be back and perhaps we'll even have a bender burger! It's inexpensive and has a more welcoming feel than other fast food establishments.
Not been whimpy for years , me and my mum popped in , there was residents from abbeywood weybourne care home having lunch it was so lovely to see them all out and enjoying themselves, the waitress told us it was on whimpy they pay for it all . What a beautiful idea , well done to whimpy as not many companys do this now days x
Haven’t been in a Wimpy for years but happy to say mixed grill just as I remember. Good service and good food so glad I did the nostalgia trip
I've ate in many times always brilliant service, staff are really friendly. Food is lovely mmmm dribbling just thinking about it lol I've had it delivered always hot on arrival. Would definitely recommend. 🤤🤤

Don't get me started... I have been visiting this wimpy since I was a young boy.. with my mother taking us... I had the mango and butterscotch milkshake the other day and I would have it again...
The burgers are real burgers. The chips are cooked well and only once.. nothing left under a heat lamp to be served up to the masses as the flood through the doors in a mindless haze of hungry and repetition...
Wimpy is a great place to eat.. bond.. forge friendship that will last a lifetime..
I would highly recommend visiting and getting the wimpy classic.. 12.6 out of 5!

It was lovely and a new morden menu!! And morden furniture bit like a American diner!! Very nice!! Lots to choose from in Menu, we loved it my 10 year old daughter she doesn't eat fish but because she likes Her salad she got the fish bites we got her to try and couldn't believe it she loved them they were not like the fish fingers you buy the were so much different then the norm!! I had quarter pounder club Very good!! and my partner was impressed he kept saying how good and nice it was in here! Good food and good friendly staff Chatting away which was nice!! Good service!!
