5 stars isn't enough for this place, the food was so tasty and full of flavor. The atmosphere was perfect a little bit of easy listening music was just what the dinner needed. And the service was excellent. You musy try here if you are in the area you won't be disappointed.
We visited here as part of a company meeting after party. Beautifully decorated, staff are excellent and so helpful. They provided a bbq for the company and it was excellent.
We had a very nice afternoon tea here today, our first visit, staff were very welcoming and sat us in a nice spot in the small restaurant. Food was served promptly, a selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes! Service was super attentive. We'll soon be back, thank you for a lovely afternoon..
This is not a review of the hotel, we only used the Kite restaurant for an afternoon tea to celebrate a friends birthday. The initial welcome was fine and we were shown to a table by a waiter who didn't say anything to us. We were bought pot's of tea and coffee, again not a word. The stands with our food were delivered, again by the silent waiter. We were then left on our own. The food was very good but we soon required more tea. There was no one to be found, so my wife ventured into the kitchen where she found Andy, who was only too pleased to get us more boiled water, which was served with a cheerful smile. When we had finished a different waiter came to clear the table, he was a cheerful chap, who had some amusing ways.
I think a bit more "service" would have been nice. There was no offer of more tea, or "was everything ok". We are a group of 8 people and were considering going back to see what the breakfast or the Sunday lunch was like. The jury is out on that.
Amazing food and great staff.
Excellent food and delightful and attentive staff Tawny and Amy in particular.
We went there for a drink on the way passt.
We have been here many of times, never been disappointed
This is the restaurant in the Mercurie Lambert Arms Hotel and well reflects that hotel chain's reputation for quality.
When we arrived we were greated by pleasant and efficient staff and shown to our table. The dining room is nicely decorated in a semi - modern style and works well. The whole ambience is comfortable with a relax ed but formal feeling.
The menu is good and when our food was delivered it was well presented and tasty. All in all, a good experience.
We had a really good festive meal tonight. The blade of beef deserves particular mention being so tasty. The real chunky horseradish sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Pleasent attentive waiting staff.
Lovely food. Service was slightly slow as they had a large wedding do. Waiting staff kept apologising. But I have know a lot worse service of places and they were not dealing with a wedding.
Only popped in for drinks and meet with friends, but looks nice, just off the M40.. go on, so much better than the services
