What a great place! Went to a small classic car meet on 14/10/23 great service and the best bacon bap I have ever had, very friendly staff, will be back to try more on the menu.
I am blown away by the consistent quality of the food at the Nelson. I’ve had dinner here three time and breakfast twice. Every time, it has been delicious. Nothing is “fancy” but it’s clear that every dish is made with care using good produce. It just feels like the Nelson version of every dish is

Lovely pub with a cosy atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Food is a bit above average in price but good quality. I like the decor choices inside. Wish they would prevent parking out in front of the pub.
A great place for lunch after a long country walk around the Chilterns. We shared a Gala pie with coleslaw and an asparagus quiche with salad and skinny fries. All delicious and filling washed down with 0% Heineken and a lime soda. £36.
Great breakfast was served and the family were so friendly and kind. Huge recommended by me and hope to be back again!
We have been a few times for breakfast and a few more times for drinks. Everytime it has been a welcoming and great experience.
It was lovely atmosphere and food was delicious. The only thing I would have improved was the time from ordering to time of arrival of your meal However worth a visit and I would go again.
Beautiful pub with great ambiance and nice beer garden in a lovely location.
