Great coffee shop staff are very friendly food n drinks are delicious and all good value.I love meeting my friends here for a bite to eat n a cuppa whilst making most of a catch up.I also take my daughter & close family here as its local for us & near to wherer we live, whenever we fancy treats after school.I would def recommend this Coffee shop to my friends.Well done everyone keep up the hardwork.
This is a lovely little coffee shop! Quality food and drinks, there’s plenty to choose from. The staff and the owner are extremely friendly. I’d always choose to go here over Costa! And although it’s always busy you’re never waiting too long for a seat/table.. Great service, I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family!
Visited this lovely coffee shop yesterday, I've been stuck in Barnsley after emergency surgery 2 weeks ago staying with family, we were lucky to get a table, what a lovely warm welcome from the staff and the coffee was excellent, would highly recommend trying this place for a coffee

As always great service and food but my review is a thank you for all your staff honouring the two minutes silence at 11am today. Sadly not one other table had the decency to stop the chatter.

Food was ok, expensive for what it is, but it was tasty! Pancakes was nice, the bread on the ham and cheese sandwich was a little hard, the breakfast burger was ok, I'd go again, but not too often, theres a place for laptop users, but it doesn't look comfortable...
Wonderful staff and received my food and drinks quickly even though they were extremely busy. Had the Biscoff and banana pancakes from the new menu, absolutely beautiful presentation and taste, will definitely be back to try more new menu items in the near future.

Update 07/04/24 - I could be qeong, bit it feels like it's under new management. The menu has completely changed and (in my opinion) been over complicated. No longer can you order a "full english", you have to order a "base" (such as egg on toast), and then add individual items at a cost of £1.25 each. It makes something simple, more difficult. Granted you do then order exactly what you want, avoiding waste.
In terms of the taste and quality of the food, it's fantastic. You'll probably have a decent wait, but it's worth it.
This is an extremely popular place, and for a good reason!! The range and quality of food is superb......well at least for breakfast anyway!!
They clean the tables after each use, which is great to see.
The one thing that let's them down (and may have a part in whether I return), is the time you have to wait for food. I arrived at 11:20 on a Sunday, and had to wait 45 minutes for my food. They really need to increase the staff in the kitchen to cope with busy times. Before I got my food, they did start to tell people there was a delay of 30 minutes, but we were advised when we ordered.
It tarnished what was actually really good food, and affected the overall experience.
Absolutely gorgeous breakfast .. proper bacon and sausages .
Coffee was amazing had the hearty breakfast 7/10 was disappointing, lukewarm beans, quite fatty and lighty done bacon and half of medium sized mushroom when the menu stated mushrooms. That said the eggs, toast and sausage were tip top!! This is why I had to score a 7 instead of a 8 or 9. This will not stop me visiting again, just maybe order an alternative breakfast.
First time visiting today, we wanted somewhere different to visit. Lovely food, excellent service, nice coffee and perfect music for millennials 😁
My one small complaint is the chairs could be comfier
Nice cafe, good quality food but a little pricey now the menu has changed.
The food was amazing we was left satisfied the only reason for the 4 stars is nobody came up saying how is your food or enjoy your meal etc those final touches just dropped the plate on the table and onto the next
I’m a big supporter of local businesses and so when I see Coffee St next to a Costa it’s an obvious choice for me. I think the food here is really good value for money. Unfortunately the coffee was not strong enough for my liking but I did order a large so maybe I’d go for the regular next time. However, just because the coffee wasn’t made to my liking that’s not to say it’s bad coffee! Also dogs can sit outside and that always pleases me… staff were super friendly with him and offered him a bowl of water so I’m a happy customer!
