We don't live far from here so sometimes like to visit for a drink and something to eat. The food is always nicely cooked and presented well. We went a couple of weeks ago, and were a bit late for the food service, so the bar staff asked the kitchen and they cooked our food, despite the late hour. So I would like to show my appreciation. It was very good customer service and was appreciated by us.

Came for a drink or 2 with my friend yesterday evening and had a lovely time. The pub is nice and spacious and atmosphere was buzzy even for a Tuesday night. The bartender and Manager Harry served a lovely pint, a really decent chap as well! Will be coming back.

Very nice pub with a very good selection of food. Do not expect a lot of vegetables. Very busy on Thursdays as their bogor deals (buy one, get one free) make the prices even more reasonable. Eating out and spending 20 pounds for two people is a real possibility here, and you will not be going home hungry. You order at the bar or with your phone and pay right away. So when you are done eating, you can just stand up and leave.

Amazing find. I stayed here for work. Good and beer amazing, room was clean, spacious and comfy. All in all, a brilliant little find if you are travelling and need easy and quick access to London.

The Southern Cross is a large pub. We sat inside and had plenty of choice of where to sit. We found a table away from the TVs and background noise. We ordered food on the app which was delivered promptly. If you park in the car park at the rear then remember to register your car at the bar.

Came to stay in Watford for a long weekend away to see London and attend Billy Joel Concert at Hyde Park. Didn't want to stay in centre of London, so opted for Watford where I have stayed for previous London visits. Chose The Southern Cross as it was also a pub/restaurant, so my husband and I could get food and drinks after returning from daytime out I London or could get something before we attended concert. Was very impressed with the accommodation and with the Pub it's self. Will definitely be returning here rather than Premier Inn I have previously used. Staying here definitely made our weekend more enjoyable, easier and only 5 minutes walk from Watford Junction Station a perfect location for us.

Stayed here whilst visiting the Harry Potter tour. The room was immaculate, comfortable and very affordable. We stayed in room 7 (twin room). We had breakfast the next morning and it was cooked beautifully and they do buy one breakfast and get one free (impressive). I’m a coffee lover and I could drink their Lattes all day. So good. I have to give a special mention to the manager; Karen! She is an absolute credit to the company. Goes above and beyond for her guests, she is very attentive and highly stood out for me personally. Thank you Karen for looking after us and giving us a beautiful experience. I have even recommended this venue to friends and family already and I haven’t even left yet! ⭐️
