I am very critical when it comes to fish and chips. Some places can be pretty poor and very disappointing but this place is excellent. I ordered a large haddock, large cod, large chips and a curry sauce. The order took about 15 mins which is more than reasonable considering the place was busy when I visited. On this occasion we had to wait outside, as this fish and chip shop isn't that big inside. So factor that in, if you do decide to go and get fish and chips here, especially if it is cold outside. The whole order cost about £19, which is a little over the average price of this meal but well worth it when you get your order.
Both the cod and haddock were huge pieces of fish. The fish beautifully white and flaky, all wrapped up in a light crispy batter and tasted really good. The chips were really nice and a real decent portion too and the curry sauce was a winner. Overall this was a lot of food and easily fed two of us.
I don't know what the other items on the Menu are like but based on the fish and chips, I would imagine very tasty.
A must go to place for fish and chips in this area.
I had a £2.50 portion of chips , I had to wait for 15 minutes as they were busy on a Monday! The wait was worth it, the chips were delicious & generous portion even better than my regular chippy that I’ve used for years on the other side of W/ville. I couldn’t eat all of them . Recommended
Great service, especially for gluten free, pre ordered in the morning for collection at lunchtime on a Tuesday. Delicious food and ample rations. Can't recommend them high enough for quantity, quality and price.
